The price is the point where the sources part:
- the journal says 'Cost: 1 gold' for this mount, and Wowhead's tooltip repeats it, but it says 10 for the other two swift wolves of the same vendor
- Wowhead's item data has a buy price of 100,000 copper
- the wiki lists all three swift wolves at 10 gold and the plain ones at 1
- Wowhead's sold-by row for Ogunaro Wolfrunner shows 80,000 copper, 8 gold, which is 10 gold less the 20% an Exalted standing takes off; so a character that needed the reputation pays 8
The journal also leaves out the reputation. The wiki has it on the vendor's page ('Only orcs can buy from Ogunaro by default; other characters must be exalted with Orgrimmar', with his words to anyone who is neither: 'I only make my mounts available to those who are considered exalted to Orgrimmar and the Orcish race') and on the Orgrimmar faction page (edited 2026: at Exalted non-orc Horde races are able to purchase and ride wolf mounts). The top comment on Wowhead's item page, of 2007, says the same.
The wiki's page for the horn itself mentions neither a race nor a reputation, and Wowhead's tooltip lists every Horde race, Mag'har orcs, dracthyr, earthen and haranir among them. None of it was confirmed in the game, and whether a Mag'har orc counts as an orc for him is undocumented (as the Timber Wolf's notes found). The reputation time is zero on an orc and on a character that is already Exalted; the wiki's faction page does not say whether the standing is shared across the Warband.
Coordinates are Wowhead's map pins for Ogunaro Wolfrunner (61.0-61.6, 33.8-35.6); the wiki gives 61, 35 on his page and 61.6, 35.6 on the faction's. The wiki puts Stone Guard Nargol at 50.0, 58.4 by the flight master and does not give the tabard's price (10 silver in the notes for the Timber Wolf and the Brown Wolf).
The item asks for level 17 and Apprentice Riding since patch 9.0.1 by the wiki (Wowhead's data shows level 10) and binds when picked up. Until patch 4.0.3a it was also what two quests gave in exchange for an older epic wolf; those quests are gone (wiki).
