Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
Sold by Lelanai, the saber handler in Bel'ameth under Amirdrassil, for 10 gold. Night elves buy it outright; every other Alliance race has to be Exalted with Darnassus first.
Time there about 2 min a visit
Before you go
- Exalted with Darnassus (night elves skip this): wear the Darnassus Tabard, 10 silver from Moon Priestess Lasara at the Terrace of the Moon in Bel'ameth, and clear dungeons · about 3 h
- 10 gold
In all: about 3 h of play, 10 gold, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Amirdrassil 51.4 65.8 - Take the portal from Stormwind to Bel'ameth*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Lelanai stands in two places (wiki): in Bel'ameth on the Amirdrassil map (NPC 216677; 51.4, 65.8 by Wowhead's tooltip, 51.4, 66.0 on the wiki), which is the place given here, and in the Cenarion Enclave of old Darnassus (NPC 4730; 42.8, 32.3), which burned with Teldrassil and is only reached through Zidormi in Darkshore. The journal and Wowhead's tooltip still give the zone as Darnassus.
Bel'ameth was added in patch 10.2.5; the Alliance reaches it by the portal in Stormwind's Wizard's Sanctum, or by flying west out of the Ohn'ahran Plains (wiki).
The reputation rule is the wiki's: 'Only night elves can buy from Lelanai by default; other characters must be exalted with Darnassus.' wow.gg's guide to this mount (seen only as a search excerpt) says Exalted as well, while its guides to her other sabers say Revered. It puts her at 49.8, 60.3, which neither Wowhead nor the wiki has, and sends the player to old Darnassus for the tabard, so it is not linked.
For the Swift Mistsaber, from the same vendor, Wowhead's sold-by list had 10 gold in Bel'ameth and 8 gold from the old Darnassus Lelanai, which is the price less the Exalted discount; that list was not read for this item.
The wiki's ways to Darnassus reputation:
- the Darnassus Tabard, 10 silver from Moon Priestess Lasara at the Terrace of the Moon (46.5, 70.6 on the Amirdrassil map)
- quests in the night elf zones
- the Argent Tournament
- the Molten Front's writs of commendation
Which dungeons count for the tabard in the current patch was not established. No Wowhead guide to Darnassus reputation was found. The reins ask for level 17 and Apprentice Riding since patch 9.0.1 (wiki).
Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
