Notes and sources
How many dubloons an expedition pays is the least certain figure:
- a count on Wowhead from 2020 averaged 10.2 an expedition over 87 Heroic runs
- a 2025 comment reports 9-11 from one end-of-run satchel, sometimes two satchels, and suspects the rate falls off after about ten runs in a week
- another wow.gg page, also quoted for the Risen Mare, gives only 3-6 an expedition
Dubloons have moved between a warband's characters since patch 11.0 (wiki), so several characters can pool them. The same traders sell the Siltwing Albatross for 1,000.
The journal gives the zones as Tiragarde Sound and Zuldazar. The coordinates are Wowhead's, on the Boralus and Dazar'alor city maps, while a wow.gg guide's waypoints (69.0, 25.5 and 56.7, 65.3) are on the zone maps. A hotfix of 17 June 2026 put expedition queueing right again (wiki).
