Sold by Provisioner Stoutforge, the Service Medal Quartermaster in Boralus Harbor, for 750 7th Legion Service Medals. The medals are the pay of the Alliance's side of the Battle for Azeroth warfronts: the world quests in Arathi Highlands and Darkshore, the warfront quests, the faction assaults and the 7th Legion's paragon caches.

Notes and sources
The journal's cost of 750 is 7th Legion Service Medals (Wowhead's cost data: currency 1717), and its zone, Tiragarde Sound, is the city of Boralus. The coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip position; the wiki has 66.88, 25.78. It is a flying mount and asks for level 10 (wiki).
Learning either this mount or the Horde's Bloodthirsty Dreadwing (750 Honorbound Service Medals from Provisioner Mukra in Dazar'alor) teaches both (wiki; a 2026 Wowhead comment), so an account can earn it from the Horde side as well.
The medals have been Warband-transferable since patch 11.0.0 (wiki), so the days needed divide by the number of Alliance characters collecting: the ten characters of a 2026 comment would need about a week.
The warfront quests are the quicker source when a warfront can be got going:
- a 2025 comment made 65 medals a character from one Heroic Darkshore run, which finishes both the normal and the Heroic quest, and 260 in a week on four characters
- another of 2025 made 30 a character from Heroic Stromgarde
- one of 2020 says a warfront pays no medals without its quest
A Heroic warfront is entered as a raid made up beforehand (the comments speak of finding 10 players), and the normal queue starts once 5 players are in it (wiki, patch 9.1.5). Neither is needed for the mount, so no group size is given.
Wowhead's quest data also shows 5 medals on the paragon quest itself, Supplies from the 7th Legion, beside the 20 that the guide and the comments put in the cache. World quests in the two zones are only up while the Alliance holds the zone (Wowhead's Darkshore guide; the wiki describes the cycle); how the cycle turns in 2026 was not established, nor how often assaults come.
Wowhead's guide was last updated in 2020 and lacks the Heroic quests. wow.gg's guide (updated 2026) is not linked: it gives 30 medals for the Darkshore warfront and 6 for a world quest, names battlegrounds and arenas as sources and leaves out assaults and paragon caches, none of which Wowhead's data or comments bear out.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
