Rare drop in Battle of Dazar'alor on every difficulty: from High Tinker Mekkatorque, the seventh of nine bosses, on Normal, Heroic and Mythic, and from Lady Jaina Proudmoore, the last boss, on Raid Finder. It is not on the corpse: the mount is put straight into the bags of whoever wins it when the boss dies. Each faction has its own entrance, and both fight Mekkatorque.
Chance Never published, and Wowhead has no count: its drop list (item page read 2026-10-11) names Mekkatorque on Normal, Heroic and Mythic and Jaina on Raid Finder with no figure against 51,619 recorded loots of Mekkatorque, because the mount never passes through a loot window, and its Collector's Bounty statistics of July 2025 say G.M.O.D. is not tracked properly by its client. Players assume the usual 1% for such raid mounts (comment of March 2019), a guess

Getting there
/way Tiragarde Sound 74.4 28.3 - Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Boralus*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way Zuldazar 54.3 30 - Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Zuldazar*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
A character has one try a week on each difficulty, so up to four (a 2024 comment: four a week on each character, once on every difficulty). On Normal, Heroic and Mythic the six bosses before Mekkatorque have to be dead. On Raid Finder the mount comes from Jaina, so leaving after Mekkatorque there gives nothing (hotfix of 26 February 2019, wiki; a 2025 comment). The Raid Finder wing with Jaina is called Victory or Death for the Horde and Might of the Alliance for the Alliance (a 2025 comment).
The mount appears in the bags when the boss dies, or after the short scene that follows Mekkatorque's defeat, and cannot be traded (comments of 2019 and 2025); if nothing has arrived by then, there is none that week. Using the Mythic skip to Jaina shuts the other bosses for that lockout (see the Glacial Tidestorm), so Mekkatorque is killed first.
Commenters of 2024 and 2025 describe sharing one Normal or Heroic raid lockout that stands at Mekkatorque between their own characters through a custom group listing, and say this does not work on Mythic; not checked.
The 20 minutes are an estimate for the seven bosses from a 2024 comment (about 15 minutes a run on Normal to Mythic for a well-geared character). The story scenes before the first boss and before King Rastakhan cannot be hurried.
Both entrances are from the game's own table, as for the Glacial Tidestorm; the wiki gives the same doors as 70.5, 35.3 in Boralus Harbor and 38.8, 2.4 in Dazar'alor. Alliance and Horde meet the second and third bosses the other way round and play the later ones from the other side's point of view (wiki); Mekkatorque is seventh for both.
There is no published chance, so the length of the hunt is only known from players' tallies in Wowhead's comments: the mount after 3, 5, 17, 40, 43, 71, about 100, 124, 200 and more than 200 kills. Most were counted over many characters, and some, in July 2025, during Collector's Bounty with its announced +5%, which several commenters doubted was applied to this mount.
Wowhead also lists the Unclaimed Black Market Container (1 in 405 opened), which is not a way of earning it. No guide is linked: it is a boss kill.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
