Getting there
/way Nazjatar 49 62.2 - Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Zuldazar*
- Take the portal from Hall of Ancient Paths to Nazjatar*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Horde only in practice: The Unshackled is the Horde's Nazjatar faction, and the Alliance has the Ankoan Waveray instead (250 Manapearls from Artisan Okata at Exalted with the Waveblade Ankoan, by Wowhead's Nazjatar guide). The journal does not mark the mount for one side, and wow.gg says that once learned it shows for every character of the account; earning it takes a Horde character.
Who sells it: the journal, Wowhead's tooltip, the wiki, wow.gg and Wowhead's Nazjatar guide (2025) all name Finder Pruc, the Ancient Relics vendor; only the table in Wowhead's older reputation guide puts the mount among the wares of the quartermaster, Atolia Seapearl (51, 65.6). Both stand in Newhome. The coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip for Finder Pruc (49.0, 62.2); wow.gg gives 49, 62.
The item's tooltip asks for nothing beyond 'The Unshackled - Exalted': no achievement line of the kind found on other mounts of patch 8.2 (see the Stormsong Coastwatcher and the Proudmoore Sea Scout).
A shortcut the reputation guide describes: from Revered, Atolia Seapearl sells the Waveswept Abyssal Conch for 20 Manapearls, 250 reputation each and account-bound, so Manapearls from any character can be turned into this character's standing. Other helps the guides name:
- a scribe's Contract: Unshackled (10 more on every Battle for Azeroth world quest)
- the Darkmoon Faire's 10% buffs
- the World Quest Bonus Event (50% more)
Patch 12.1.5 makes the Battle for Azeroth reputations warband-wide, and The Unshackled is on the list (Blizzard Watch, 2026, which had no word yet on how standings on several characters are combined); the date given for the patch is 13 October 2026 (see the Wonderwing 2.0). Until then Exalted is needed on the buying character, and whether an Alliance character could buy afterwards is not said.
Level: Wowhead says the introduction is offered at level 50, wow.gg 'after reaching level 50 (or via the Chromie Time system)'. The wiki's page for The Unshackled is a stub. Wowhead's reputation guide is user-submitted and of 2020 (it still speaks of flying being unlocked by the reputation), but its list of where the reputation comes from is what it is linked for.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
