Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
Rare drop from Hopecrusher, a rare elite gargon in the Chalice District of Revendreth, east of the Charred Ramparts flight point. He does not stand there: he comes when the dead Large Prey lying on the ground at his spot is inspected. Only a Venthyr character can loot the mount.
Chance 1.49% once a day, so about 67 tries on average — Wowhead: 418 mounts in 28,081 recorded loots of Hopecrusher (read 2026-10-10; its tooltip says 1.49%). The count is over every looter and only Venthyr characters can get the mount, so a Venthyr's own chance is higher, by how much is not known

- Take the flight master to Revendreth
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Being Venthyr is all it asks: it has dropped for characters of level 50 to 53 (comments of 2021 and 2022), and Wowhead's guide and the wiki name no other condition. The journal names no source at all, only the covenant and the zone.
Coordinates:

- 51.4-52.0, 51.4-52.6: Wowhead's tooltip
The Large Prey comes back exactly one hour after it was last inspected, not after the kill (comments of 2022, 2023 and 2024; an older comment gives 45 to 60 minutes). So on arriving there may be up to an hour's wait; the time on the spot is the kill alone.
Hopecrusher enrages now and then and hits far harder while he does; he is slowed during it, and commenters move away until it ends.
About 67 daily kills are expected at 1.49%, fewer if the true chance for a Venthyr is higher. Commenters report it on the first kill and after 58, about 100 and 140 kills; one got it after 'almost three months' of daily kills on five characters (2024). The loot is once a day for each character (comments of 2020, after a hotfix).
The mount is normally usable only by Venthyr characters; Renown 80 with the Venthyr on one character makes it usable by the whole warband (wiki; the game's own condition says the same).
Wowhead's guide (2020) is a table of Revendreth's rares with a line on each and calls the corpse Dead Prey; the wiki and the comments call it Large Prey (creature 166682). The rare also drops the Gargon Whistle and counts for Adventurer of Revendreth.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
