How to get it

Reward of the Shadowlands adventure Campaign: Darkwarren Finality (level 60, five combatants, 4 hours, 25 Reservoir Anima), sent from the Command Table in a covenant sanctum. It is the second of the four Campaign adventures that give a mount: it is offered once 17 earlier Campaign adventures have been won, and winning it gives the mount.

Guides Wowhead: Covenant Adventures: Missions Upgraded for Shadowlands · wow.gg: Darkwarren Hardshell

Before you go

  • The Command Table built in the covenant sanctum: its first tier, Tactical Insight, costs 500 Reservoir Anima and 1 Redeemed Soul and takes one hour of research; a quest then sets up the Scouting Map · about 0.5 h
  • 17 Campaign adventures won, the ones whose names begin 'Campaign:' and which each give one Adventure Campaign Progress; the 17th is Campaign: The Final Puzzle, which gives the Chittering Animite. They come one at a time and grow harder, so the companions have to be levelled on ordinary adventures alongside · about 3 h over 4 weeks
  • Campaign: Darkwarren Finality itself: 25 Reservoir Anima and the 4-hour timer; the offer stays for one day · 1 days

In all: about 3.5 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Oribos, Ring of Transference (hub: the Command Table is in the character's own covenant sanctum, in Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald or Revendreth)
Oribos · 60.6, 68.4
/way Oribos 60.6 68.4
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 1 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Oribos*
  2. Fly the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 1 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Oribos*
  2. Fly the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The adventure is sent from the Command Table in the character's own covenant sanctum (Elysian Hold, the Seat of the Primus, the Heart of the Forest or Sinfall), so there are four possible places. The place given above is Oribos, the hub every sanctum is reached from, as for the Chittering Animite. Any covenant will do: wow.gg says so, and Wowhead comments report this adventure won as Night Fae and as Necrolord. wow.gg says the table can still be used, with troops and progress kept.

The wiki and Wowhead's mission data call it Campaign: Darkwarren Finality (mission 2198, in Ardenweald); wow.gg calls it 'Campaign: End the Darkwarren'. The fight is against a Possessed Grovetender, two Darkwarren Bulwarks and two Darkwarren Slicers (wiki), and it also pays a Grimoire of Knowledge and one point of Adventure Campaign Progress.

Where it comes in the order rests on one player's 2021 comment: progress has to stand at 16 before the mount adventures begin, there are 20 Campaign adventures in all, and the 17th to 20th give, in this order:

  • Chittering Animite
  • Darkwarren Hardshell
  • Highwind Darkmane
  • Warstitched Darkhound

wow.gg agrees that they come one at a time with nothing left to chance but does not give the order. Progress is a hidden currency (1889); /script print(C_CurrencyInfo.GetCurrencyInfo(1889).quantity) shows it, and the table's first tier is enough (same comment).

Players won it with companions well under level 60 (wow.gg advises troops of about level 40):

  • Night Fae with a Dreamweaver of 30 and Trappers of 24, before the Night Fae troops were weakened on 29 January 2021
  • Night Fae after that with companions mostly between 33 and 43 (2021) and of 26 to 42 (2024)
  • Necrolord with companions of 28 to 40 (2021)

The comment that gives the order says Night Fae and Necrolord have the easier time of it, and Wowhead's guide has a section on the imbalance between covenants.

If no new Campaign adventure is offered after one is won, changing covenant in Oribos and changing straight back brings it up, and changing covenant while an adventure is out cancels it (a 2025 reply). Whether a lost Campaign adventure is offered again at once was not established. Wowhead's guide (2022) says adventures can also be sent and collected from the WoW Companion App; whether that still works was not checked.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
