How to get it

Chance find in the Queen's Conservatory Cache, the chest a restored spirit leaves behind in the Queen's Conservatory, the garden of the Night Fae sanctum. The recipe: plant Wildseed Root Grain in two catalyst plots next to a Wildseed of Regrowth, then infuse that wildseed with an Untamed Spirit, a Greater Untamed Spirit or a Divine Untamed Spirit, and open the cache once the spirit has grown. A spirit of higher quality gives a better chance.

Chance No figure for this recipe was ever published. Wowhead records 920 mounts in 265,420 opened Queen's Conservatory Caches (0.35%, read 2026-10-10), but that count is pooled over every spirit and catalyst combination, most of which cannot give this mount, so it is a floor and not the chance of the recipe. Players' own counts on Wowhead run from the third cache, to under a dozen, to 34, to more than a year of trying

The Queen's Conservatory built and raised to tier 2 through the sanctum upgrades: 1,500 Reservoir Anima and 6 Redeemed Souls for tier 1 (an hour to build), 5,000 anima and 12 Redeemed Souls for tier 2 (12 hours) · about 3 h over 2 weeks
For each try: 2 Wildseed Root Grain and one Untamed, Greater Untamed or Divine Untamed Spirit. Root grain is a reward choice of the conservatory's weekly quests (A Spirit's Duty, Heart, Might and Pride), comes from the daily Aid the Covenant, Night Fae caches and Ardenweald treasure chests, and can be grown from seeds in the conservatory; spirits come from quests, command table adventures and drops in the Maw and Korthia · about 0.5 h
Growing time for each try: about 3 days of real time with a Greater Untamed Spirit (about a day with the plain one, about 7 with the Divine) · 3 days

In all: about 3.5 h of play, spread over 2 weeks, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The recipe is the wiki's and warcraftmounts.com's. Wowhead's best-rated comment (2020) got the mount from a Greater Untamed Spirit with 2 Wildseed Root Grain; others report the plain Untamed Spirit and the Divine one working too. The catalysts have to be planted before the spirit goes in, or they do not count (wow.gg). Four root grain around the tier 5 wildseed is the recipe for a different mount, the Enchanted Wakener's Runestag.

Only a Night Fae character can get into the conservatory and loot the cache; the wiki adds that Renown 80 with the Night Fae makes the mount usable by every character of the warband. The place given above is the Heart of the Forest flight point, worked out from the game's own flight table; where inside the sanctum the way to the conservatory lies was not looked up.

There is no lockout as such, but each try ties up a wildseed for the days the spirit takes to grow, and a conservatory of a higher tier has more wildseeds.

A 2021 Blizzard forum thread says Wildseed Root Grain Seeds are sold by Seed Merchant Daybreak and give 1-2 root grain an hour for 12 hours when planted in a conservatory plot, and that this mount usually comes from a Greater Untamed Spirit and is much harder to get than the conservatory's other mounts; neither was checked further.
