Chance find in the Queen's Conservatory Cache, the chest a restored spirit leaves behind in the Queen's Conservatory, the garden of the Night Fae sanctum. The recipe: plant Wildseed Root Grain in all four catalyst plots around the one wildseed that has four, which comes with the conservatory's fifth and last tier, then infuse that wildseed with an Untamed Spirit, a Greater Untamed Spirit or a Divine Untamed Spirit, and open the cache once the spirit has grown. A spirit of higher quality gives a better chance.
Chance No figure for this recipe was ever published. Wowhead records 641 mounts in 265,420 opened Queen's Conservatory Caches (0.24%, read 2026-10-11), but that count is pooled over every spirit and catalyst combination, nearly all of which cannot give this mount, so it is a floor and not the chance of the recipe. Players' own counts on Wowhead: the third cache, the fourth (twice), the sixth or seventh, 10 to 20, more than 35, and one player still without it after two years of a try every three days

Before you go
- The Queen's Conservatory built and raised to its fifth tier with Zayhad, the sanctum's upgrade facilitator: First Planting (1,500 Reservoir Anima, 6 Redeemed Souls, 1 hour of research), Initial Growth (5,000, 12 souls, 12 hours), Nurtured Souls (10,000, 22 souls, 1 day), Flourishing Beds (12,500, 40 souls, 1 day) and Final Forms (15,000, 70 souls, 1 day): 44,000 anima and 150 souls in all. Final Forms adds the wildseed with four catalyst plots · about 18 h over 7 weeks
- For each try: 4 Wildseed Root Grain and one Untamed, Greater Untamed or Divine Untamed Spirit. Root grain is a reward choice of the conservatory's weekly quests (A Spirit's Duty, Heart, Might and Pride), comes from the daily Aid the Covenant, Night Fae caches and Ardenweald treasure chests, and grows from Wildseed Root Grain Seeds that Seed Merchant Daybreak sells in the conservatory. Spirits: Greater ones from the weekly quests in the Maw (Divine ones once the conservatory is at tier 4), from the conservatory's own weekly quest Fair Exchange for a Soul and from adventure missions; plain ones from rares, dailies and objectives in the Maw · about 0.5 h
- Growing time for each try: about 3 days of real time with a Greater Untamed Spirit; the Divine one is given as up to 7 · 3 days
In all: about 18.5 h of play, spread over 7 weeks, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
The place given above is Conservator Starry Night, beside whose mushroom ring an extra action button carries the character up to the conservatory (Wowhead's guide). Wowhead's tooltip has her around 55.4, 67.2 on one of the floor maps of the Heart of the Forest (its floor 2). The game's map tables turn that into 43.6, 54.7 on Ardenweald's map if that is the second of the three floor maps, and 43.8, 56.5 if it is the first; the Wakener's Runestag uses the sanctum's flight point at 46.4, 51.1 instead. Only a Night Fae character can get into the conservatory and loot the cache.
The recipe is Wowhead's guide's, the wiki's and warcraftmounts.com's: the guide's reward chart has the Enchanted Wakener's Runestag and the Pale Acidmaw in the Untamed column at four root grain. The plain and Greater spirits work: the best-rated Wowhead comment (2021) got it from a Greater Untamed Spirit on the fourth try, and another 2021 comment from Greater ones after 10 to 20. The Divine one is hard to come by, since the weekly Maw quest hands out one of four kinds at random (the same best-rated comment).
The catalysts have to be planted before the spirit goes in, or they do not count (Wowhead's guide, wow.gg, a 2022 comment); a 2026 comment adds that planting anything else beside it during the wait breaks the link. Planted catalysts last 12 hours, and seeds grown beside a Temporal Leaves catalyst turn into catalysts within an hour, which is the guide's way to stock up on root grain.
There is no lockout as such, but each try ties up the one four-plot wildseed for the days the spirit takes to grow, so the pace is a try every three days or so. Two root grain around a smaller wildseed is the recipe for a different mount, the Wakener's Runestag, and the four-plot wildseed with a Prideful Spirit gives the Silvertip Dredwing.
The 50 days for the souls is the weak figure: the wiki gives a cap of 100 Redeemed Souls held at once and says players have seen it passed, and whether today's game has a quicker source than the weekly quest was not established. The costs given here are from Wowhead's guide itself and agree with the first two tiers' costs given for the Wakener's Runestag, which come from an older guide read second-hand.
Covenant mounts are normally usable only by the covenant's members, and by every character of the Warband once Renown 80 with that covenant is reached (the wiki, as given for this guide's other covenant mounts); the wiki's page for this mount does not say.
wow.gg's guide (updated 2026) agrees on tier 5, four root grain and the planting order, recommends the Divine spirit and reckons 20 to 35 tries for some players; it is linked second because it is thinner than Wowhead's. The journal files the mount under Drop and names only the covenant and the zone. A ground mount; the item binds when picked up (wiki).
