Dropped by the rare Gormtamer Tizo in the Mistveil Tangle, the maze west of the Mists of Tirna Scithe entrance in Ardenweald. He is not up on a timer: kill the Bristlecone creatures in the maze (Bone-Breakers, Henchfiends, Terrors and the Deranged Guardians they ride) until one yells 'The enemy is too strong! Save us, Tizo!'. The gorm Chompy then appears nearby; kill Chompy and Tizo comes out where it died. Any covenant.

Notes and sources
The place given above is the middle of the points where Wowhead has seen Tizo (26.6-29.6, 52.4-57.6); Wowhead's guide gives 26.4, 54.3 and its top comment 29.75, 55.44, with the maze entrance at 28.1, 51.3.
Any creature in the maze can make the call for Tizo, not only the elites, and Tizo can be called again straight after a kill (a 2020 comment). Others in the area can tag him. The time on the spot is an estimate from Wowhead comments, which had the call come after 10 minutes (2025), 20 and 30 minutes (2024), an hour (2022) and three hours (2024); wow.gg says 10 to 30 minutes.
Whether the drop is certain is where the sources part. The wiki's Gorm mounts page and wow.gg (updated 2026) call it guaranteed, and Wowhead commenters say a whole raid group got it from one kill; nobody in the 35 comments reports a kill without the mount. Wowhead's own loot count is lower: 2,610 mounts in 4,061 recorded loots (64%, the 64.27% its tooltip shows), which would fit kills by characters who already had it, but that reading is a guess. This guide counts it as guaranteed on those sources.
Wowhead's guide (2020) covers him in one table row and names only the elites; wow.gg's guide has the steps but gives the creatures other names (Spinemaw for Bristlecone, Crunchy for Chompy).
