Found in the tribute chest The Countess leaves at the end of an Ember Court, once the character is Best Friends with her and she ends the court Very Happy or Elated. The Ember Court is the Venthyr covenant's party, opened with Temel at the Spire of the Unseen Guests above Sinfall. The Countess is a guest of the fourth invitation slot, which takes the Ember Court at rank 4.
Chance Never published. Wowhead (item page read 2026-10-10) records 275 mounts in 3,559 loots of The Countess' Extravagant Tribute (7.7%) and 5 in 240 of her Substantial Tribute (2.1%), but those counts take in every tribute opened before Best Friends, when the mount cannot be inside, so they are not the chance of a court that qualifies. Players disagree: Wowhead comments of 2021 call it certain at the first Elated court after Best Friends, one of January 2025 reports seven such courts without it

line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Only a Venthyr character can hold the Ember Court. At Renown 80 with the Venthyr the mount becomes usable by every character in the warband (wiki).
The Ember Court was weekly in Shadowlands and has reset daily since patch 10.2 (Wowhead's guide, updated 2025, and comments of 2024); the wiki still calls it weekly. The court itself is a minute of preparation and eight minutes of party, then the tributes.
Holidays speed the friendship up a great deal: at Brewfest Theotar's teas and at Noblegarden his egg hunt give up to 300% more, enough for Best Friends in two courts (Wowhead comments of 2021 and 2024, with a 2026 reply saying it still works; the wiki lists what each holiday adds).
The Countess likes a court that is Decadent, Relaxing and Formal. Wowhead's strategy guide suggests:

Rank costs (anima/souls) differ by source:
- Wowhead's guide: 1,500/6, 5,000/12, 10,000/22 and 12,500/40
- the wiki: 1,000/1, 5,000/8, 10,000/22 and 12,000/40
warcraftmounts.com also says rank 4. A 2024 Wowhead comment tells of a character at rank 5 with no third or fourth slot because the Guest List Pages from the rank quests were still unused in the bank.
Coordinates are the wiki's for the Spire of the Unseen Guests; Temel's own were not found. The 42,000, the friendship per court and the certainty of the drop each rest on players' comments, and nothing was checked in the game.
