The mount item, Silessa's Battle Harness, is a rare find in the Forgotten Chests behind the Broken Mirrors of Revendreth. A Venthyr whose Transportation Network (the mirror network) is at rank 3 finds three Broken Mirrors in the zone each day, mends each with a Handcrafted Mirror Repair Kit (10 Infused Rubies from Simone in Sinfall), steps through into a Forgotten Chamber and opens the chest there.
Chance 0.72% once a day, so about 139 tries on average — Wowhead (item page read 2026-10-11): 519 harnesses in 72,042 recorded openings, pooled over the twelve Forgotten Chest objects it lists (from 31 in 5,934 to 63 in 6,200, so 0.5% to 1.0% each). That is the chance of one chest; three can be opened a day, about 2.1% a day. Only a Venthyr with the rank 3 network can open these chests, so unlike the counts for covenant rares this one should not be thinned out by looters who cannot get the mount

Before you go
- The Venthyr Transportation Network raised to rank 3 with Foreman Flatfinger in Sinfall: 16,000 Reservoir Anima (1,000, 5,000 and 10,000) and 31 Redeemed Souls (1, 8 and 22) over its three ranks, with research of 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours. Souls come from the weekly quest Return Lost Souls: 5 a week below Renown 15, then 10, 15 and 20 a week from Renown 15, 24 and 32 · about 10 h over 2 weeks
- The mirror quests that come with the ranks, then Repair and Restore from Laurent in Sinfall: Simone hands over a first repair kit for a practice mirror in the sanctum, and sells more from then on · about 0.5 h
- A Handcrafted Mirror Repair Kit for each mirror, three a day, at 10 Infused Rubies each from Simone. Rubies drop from creatures in Revendreth and its dungeons and lie in chests and caches there; no more than 100 can be held · about 0.25 h
In all: about 10.8 h of play, spread over 2 weeks, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Revendreth 29.6 25.9 - Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Oribos*
- Take the flight master to Revendreth
- Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Oribos*
- Take the flight master to Revendreth
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Only a Venthyr can do this, and each Venthyr character with the rank 3 network has its own three chests a day. The mount is normally usable only by Venthyr until Renown 80 with the covenant on some character opens it to the whole Warband (wiki).
About 139 chests are expected at 0.72%, some 46 days of three mirrors on one character. Players report it on the third mirror, after 14, 53, 71, 92 and 94 chests, and after 260 (Wowhead comments, 2021 to 2025). The journal and Wowhead's tooltip say only 'Covenant: Venthyr, Zone: Revendreth'; the wiki names the chests. The chests also hold a recolour of the Venthyr covenant armour and some cloaks.
There are twelve mirrors in four fixed groups of three. The three of one group are up together, the same group for every realm of a region (wiki; Wowhead's top comment, of 2020). The wiki's coordinates, by group:
- Dominance Keep 29.6, 25.9, Shrouded Asylum 20.8, 54.3 and Redelav Hall 55.1, 35.7
- Dominance Keep 27.2, 21.6, the Ember Ward hideout 29.5, 37.3 and Dredhollow 40.4, 73.3
- Halls of Atonement 72.6, 43.7, Caretaker's Manor 77.2, 65.4 and Dredhollow 40.3, 77.2
- Halls of Atonement 71.0, 43.6, Ashen Traverse 39.1, 52.2 and Stonevigil Overlook 58.8, 67.8
Every group has a mirror either at Dominance Keep or at the Halls of Atonement, so looking at those two places tells which group is up. The place given above is the Dominance Keep mirror of the first group and stands for whichever three are up. The time on the spot is an estimate for the three mirrors with flying.
How often the group changes is told differently:
- daily (the wiki's covenant page, a 2021 comment)
- usually with the weekly reset (wow.gg)
- at odd moments during the week (the top comment)
Each mirror can be mended and used once a day by each character (wow.gg; in the wiki's quest text a mended mirror often breaks after one use). A mirror sometimes drops the character in the crypt of the Sanctuary of the Mad instead of a Forgotten Chamber; going back and stepping through again puts it right (wiki; comments from 2021 to 2024).
Network costs are the wiki's; Wowhead's guides give 1,500 anima and 6 souls for the first rank of other sanctum features, and its figure for this one was not read. Rubies are capped at 100, so no more than ten kits' worth can be saved up, but the kits stack to 20 (wiki) and can be bought ahead. The rubies are unlocked by the Revendreth quest The Endmire (wiki).
wow.gg (updated 2026) names the upgrade foreman Flathand and the quest Repair and Restoration; the wiki has Foreman Flatfinger and Repair and Restore.
A 2024 comment found no mirrors at all during that summer's pre-patch; later ones (2024, 2025 and 2026) farm them as before. No Wowhead guide to the mirrors was found; its item page links only general mount guides and a Venthyr rewards guide, which was not read.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
