The Path of Ascension built to its second tier with Haephus in Elysian Hold: First Steps (1,500 Reservoir Anima, 6 Redeemed Souls, 1 hour of research) and Sacred Trials (5,000 anima, 12 souls, 12 hours), 6,500 anima and 18 souls in all. The second tier adds four bosses to the first tier's six and opens the first Trials of Loyalty · about 3 h over 7 days

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The mount is certain on the first Loyalty win against Mad Mortimer in the Path of Ascension, not a chance. Wowhead's guide (2026) lists it as his reward on Loyalty, between the Artisan Tool Belt blueprint on Courage and the pet Plaguelouse Larva on Wisdom, and says a win leaves a chest holding the rewards shown on the boss's selection screen for a difficulty not beaten before. The wiki and warcraftmounts.com name the same boss and difficulty. The journal files the mount under Drop and names only the covenant and the zone.

Which tier: the guide has the second tier open the Trial of Loyalty for some bosses and the third for the rest, without naming them; the best-rated comment on Wowhead's page for the mount (2020), warcraftmounts.com and wow.gg (updated 2026) all say rank 2 is enough. Mad Mortimer is the eighth of the ten bosses in the guide's list, which is why he is counted here among the second tier's four; the guide does not say so outright. Should Loyalty not be on offer for him at rank 2, the third tier costs 10,000 anima, 22 souls and a day more.

The fight: Mortimer splits into three slimes that share one pool of health (2021 comment, from a player who won as Pelagos with three charms and the Phial of Serenity). Pelagos is the only soulbind to play at first; Kleia comes from beating Nuuminuuru (guide). Wowhead's guide has a companion with a strategy for each boss, which was not read.

Reagents for Ascension Crafting drop from Shadowlands creatures, and Caretaker Caryn in Elysian Hold sells a box of them for 5 Medallions of Service; 5 medallions are given after the introduction quests (guide).

The place given above is Dactylis, the Path's crafter, at Wowhead's tooltip position (29.2-29.8, 38.4-39.8 on Elysian Hold's map, which is 63.0, 16.1 on Bastion's by the game's map tables). Artemede, who starts a trial, and Haephus, who sells the upgrades, were not located separately.

The mount is normally usable only by Kyrian characters; Renown 80 with the Kyrian makes it usable by every character of the Warband (wiki). A character belongs to one covenant at a time. How fast Redeemed Souls come today was not checked beyond the wiki's weekly figures.
