Guide Wowhead: How To Catch Up on Renown in Shadowlands 9.1.5
Before you go
- Kyrian Renown 23. Renown comes a level at a time from the covenant campaign, the two weekly quests (1,000 anima for the sanctum in Replenish the Reservoir, Shaping Fate in Korthia), covenant callings, dungeon and raid bosses, the weekly world boss, Torghast and PvP, up to the cap of 80. An account with a character that has reached Renown 80 can buy the Broker Mark of Distinction from Au'Dara in Oribos for 500 gold, which sets the current covenant's Renown to 60 · about 4 h over 2 days
- 5,000 Reservoir Anima (Shadowlands world quests, callings, raids, Korthia and Zereth Mortis) · about 2 h
In all: about 6 h of play, spread over 2 days, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
Bought from Adjutant Galos in Elysian Hold at Kyrian Renown 23. Wowhead's item page (2026) shows 'Requires Renown 23' and him as the one seller, at 5,000 Reservoir Anima (currency 1813); the wiki's table for Galos has the same price and rank, and its Renown page lists Kyrian Renown 23 as 'Mount: Phalynx of Purity', to be bought from the Renown Quartermaster. The journal files the mount under Drop and names only the covenant and the zone.
Galos's place: Wowhead's tooltip has 62.4-63.0, 30.2-31.6 on Elysian Hold's map and a comment gives 62.91, 30.90; the wiki names the spot the Sanctum of Binding. Elysian Hold has two floor maps of the same name that share one rectangle in the game's tables, so the point reads the same on either; it is 67.5, 15.0 on Bastion's map (worked out from those tables). Galos also sells the Phalynx of Humility, the Eternal Phalynx of Purity and the Ascendant's Aquilon.
The time for Renown 23 is the weak figure. The wiki's account of two or three levels a week dates from patch 9.1. Since 9.1.5 the campaign chapters no longer hold levels back, and a character behind the cap is paid catch-up levels by callings, the world boss, Torghast, dungeons and battlegrounds, none of them fully reliable (Wowhead's guide, which names the weekly world boss as the most consistent). The Broker Mark of Distinction covers Renown 23 at once on an account that has had a covenant at 80.
The mount is normally usable only by Kyrian characters; Renown 80 with the Kyrian makes it usable by every character of the Warband (wiki). A character belongs to one covenant at a time.
wow.gg's page for this mount (updated 2026) agrees on the vendor's name, the price and the rank but is not linked: it places Galos in 'the Aspirant's Crucible' and puts the Eternal Phalynx of Purity at Renown 45, against the wiki's Sanctum of Binding and Renown 39. It says the campaign alone reaches Renown 23 'in a few days' and that a Castle Nathria run gives 1,000-1,500 anima; neither was checked. A 2021 Wowhead comment notes the site once showed 2,500 anima while the vendor asked 5,000.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
