Guide Wowhead: Path of Ascension - Kyrian Covenant Game - How it Works and How to Unlock Rewards
Before you go
- The Path of Ascension built to its fourth tier with Haephus in Elysian Hold: First Steps (1,500 Reservoir Anima, 6 Redeemed Souls, 1 hour of research), Sacred Trials (5,000, 12 souls, 12 hours), Continued Training (10,000, 22 souls, 1 day) and Teachings of Wisdom (12,500, 40 souls, 1 day), 29,000 anima and 80 souls in all. The second tier adds Thran'tiok's group of four bosses; the third opens a few Trials of Wisdom and the fourth the rest, and whether the third is enough for hers was not established (see notes) · about 12 h over 3 weeks
- Thran'tiok added to the Path: after the feature's introduction quests, Dactylis offers the quest Thran'tiok, which leads through Exiled by Paranoia and Necromantic Power to Filching Phylacteries. They send the character to the House of Rituals in Maldraxxus, where Karaxi the Defector has it charge a crystal on the house's undead, follow its trail to the lich's hidden phylactery and capture her memory with a Soul Mirror; handing that in to Dactylis teaches Trial: Thran'tiok · about 2 h
- Death Foursworn. Beat Thran'tiok as a Trial of Courage and as a Trial of Loyalty to open her Trial of Wisdom, then win that trial with all four phylacteries (Pain, Suffering, Death, Destruction) destroyed before she takes any damage. The interrupt of the Deep Echo Trident counts as damage and spoils the attempt · about 2 h
- 2,500 Reservoir Anima for the mount (Shadowlands world quests, callings, raids, Korthia and Zereth Mortis) · about 1 h
In all: about 17 h of play, spread over 3 weeks, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
Bought from Binkiros in Bastion for 2,500 Reservoir Anima after the achievement Death Foursworn (14863): 'Defeat Thran'tiok in a Trial of Wisdom without damaging her before destroying all phylacteries'. The wiki's page for the mount (edited 2025) says so; Wowhead's Path of Ascension guide (2026) pairs the achievement with this mount in its reward table, warcraftmounts.com says the same, and a 2021 comment on Wowhead's page for the achievement confirms vendor and price. Wowhead says 15% of profiles have the achievement. The journal files the mount under Drop and names only the covenant and the zone.
How players did it, from the achievement page's comments:
- play Pelagos and stand well back
- destroy the four phylacteries first (one Test of Faith and one Aspirant's Bindings each, by the best-rated comment)
- use the Confront Memories immunity instead of the trident's interrupt until they are down
- then fight her, stepping out of Death Blossom
Several comments of 2021 and 2022 report finishing correctly without getting the achievement and then getting it on a later try. The trident's interrupt is the usual culprit, but one player needed fifteen tries in 2022 and could not say what changed. A 2022 comment could not get the Trial of Wisdom to open for her at tier 4 after winning Courage and Loyalty repeatedly; nobody answered it, and later comments (2023) got the achievement.
Which tier: the guide says the third tier opens 'a few Trials of Wisdom' and the fourth 'the remaining' ones without naming them. warcraftmounts.com says rank 4 for this mount and the commenters who name a tier were at 4 or 5, so tier 4 is counted here. If tier 3 turns out to be enough, 12,500 anima, 40 souls and a day fall away.
Thran'tiok is the seventh of the ten bosses in the guide's list, the first of the four the second tier adds. Her other rewards are blueprints (Vial of Lichfrost on Courage, Charm of Focus on Loyalty) and a weapon cache on Wisdom.
Whether the achievement has to be earned on the character that buys was not established. The mount is normally usable only by Kyrian characters; Renown 80 with the Kyrian makes it usable by every character of the Warband (wiki). A character belongs to one covenant at a time.
Binkiros's place is the one used for the Pale Acidmaw and the Eternal Phalynx of Humility (Wowhead's tooltip: 31.4-31.6, 47.4-47.6 on Elysian Hold's own map). How fast Redeemed Souls come today was not checked. The item binds when picked up.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
