How to get it

Each of the four Shadowlands covenants earns this mount through its own sanctum feature; this record follows the Necrolord one, the only one that is certain and that one character of any level can do unaided. Sold by Atticus, a construct the Necrolord builds with Abominable Stitching at Butchers Block beside the Seat of the Primus, for 5,000 Reservoir Anima once the character is Exalted with the Stitchmasters. That reputation comes from the weekly quests of the constructs already built. The other three ways are in the notes: a Kyrian is sold it for 2,500 anima after the achievement All The Colors of the Painbow, a Venthyr may find it in Alexandros Mograine's tribute after an Ember Court, a Night Fae in a Queen's Conservatory Cache.

Guides Wowhead: Abominable Stitching - Necrolord Covenant Game - How to Win and Unlock Rewards · Wowhead: All The Colors of the Painbow, achievement page (the comments give the Kyrian route and the party-sync method it takes above level 60)

Before you go

  • The stitching table opened and Atticus built: the first tier of the Abomination Factory, Build a Buddy, bought from Arkadia Moa (1,500 Reservoir Anima, 6 Redeemed Souls, 1 hour), the Necrolord quests that lead to the table (Emeni's chain, by this guide's Chosen Tauralus record), then Atticus stitched for 10 Malleable Flesh along with the other first-tier constructs, each of which adds a weekly quest · about 3 h
  • Exalted with the Stitchmasters: each construct already built offers a weekly quest worth 750 reputation, handed in to Rathan. The first tier has five constructs (Chordy, Roseboil, Marz, Flytrap and Atticus), so about 3,750 a week; higher tiers add constructs and with them quests · about 10 h over 12 weeks
  • 5,000 Reservoir Anima for the mount (Shadowlands world quests, callings, raids, Korthia and Zereth Mortis) · about 2 h

In all: about 15 h of play, spread over 12 weeks, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Atticus, Butchers Block (the Necrolord stitchyard)
Maldraxxus · 55.2, 68.2
/way Maldraxxus 55.2 68.2
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 4 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Oribos*
  2. Take the flight master to Maldraxxus
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 4 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Oribos*
  2. Take the flight master to Maldraxxus

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The covenant, the place and the requirements given above are for the Necrolord route only; members of the other covenants have their own, and the mount is account-wide once learned. The price, the vendor and the standing agree across sources; the twelve weeks are the weak figure. Wowhead's sold-by list (2026): Atticus 5,000 and Binkiros 2,500, both in Reservoir Anima (currency 1813). The journal files the mount under Vendor and names only the four features.

Necrolord: Atticus's place is Wowhead's tooltip (NPC 159238: 55.2, 68.2 in Maldraxxus), a few steps from the stitching table given for the Chosen Tauralus (54.9, 68.8). Wowhead also lists a second seller named Abomination (NPC 158259) at the same price, which was not looked into. Wowhead's guide to Abominable Stitching confirms the vendor table but gives no reputation figures; its comments say only that the weekly quests are what builds it. How fast Redeemed Souls come today was not checked.

Kyrian: sold by Binkiros in Elysian Hold for 2,500 anima after All The Colors of the Painbow, which is to defeat Mad Mortimer in the Path of Ascension after being afflicted by Fiery Veins, Frozen and Uncontrolled Vomiting, on any difficulty. The Path at its second rank is enough (top comment, warcraftmounts.com, wow.gg), and the mount has to be bought by the character that earned the achievement (2021 comment). This is the cheapest route, but since Dragonflight it cannot be done unaided by a character above level 60: the fire attack that builds Fiery Veins misses such a character (comments of 2022 to 2024).

What players report working, most recently in three reports of 2026:

  • form a party with a second player's character below level 60 and switch on Party Sync with that character out of Chromie Time
  • queue for the Path, then have that character choose a Chromie Time timeline, which sets the Kyrian to level 60
  • stand at the edge of the green pool for ten stacks, then the frost patch for ten
  • heal with the Phial of Serenity, then let Ortim cast until Fiery Veins, and win

So for a character above level 60 the Kyrian route takes two players online at the same time; a character still at level 60 needs nobody.

Venthyr: a chance find in Alexandros Mograine's tribute at the end of an Ember Court. Wowhead records these, counts that take in players who already owned it:

  • 99 mounts in 264 of his plain Tributes
  • 90 in 330 Substantial ones
  • 166 in 2,412 Extravagant ones

The wiki says Best Friends with him is needed, but a dozen comments from 2021 to 2026 report the mount on his first visit, as a Stranger, with a Happy to Elated mood; the top comment, warcraftmounts.com and wow.gg put him at the court's third rank. For a Venthyr this is probably the quickest way, though not a certain one.

Night Fae: a chance find in the Queen's Conservatory Cache after growing a Martial Spirit with four Wildseed Root Grain as catalysts, in the plot of the conservatory's fifth rank. The Divine spirit gives the best chance (two players got it on the first try), a rare one took another player about ten tries, and no chance was published.

A 2025 comment claiming it came from a chest of a covenant assault in the Maw is unconfirmed and was doubted in a reply.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
