Each of the four Shadowlands covenants earns this mount through its own sanctum feature; this record follows the Kyrian one, which is certain and asks for no reputation. It is the reward for the first win over Azaruux in a Trial of Wisdom, the third of four difficulties in the Path of Ascension, the Kyrian arena in Elysian Hold where the fight is played as one of the Kyrian soulbinds. The mount is in the chest the win leaves. The other three ways are in the notes: a Necrolord is sold it for 5,000 Reservoir Anima at Exalted with the Stitchmasters, a Night Fae may find it in a Queen's Conservatory Cache, a Venthyr in Mikanikos' tribute chest after an Ember Court.

- The Path of Ascension built to its fourth tier with Haephus in Elysian Hold: 1,500 Reservoir Anima, 6 Redeemed Souls and 1 hour of research for the first tier, 5,000, 12 souls and 12 hours for the second, 10,000, 22 souls and a day for the third, 12,500, 40 souls and a day for the fourth: 29,000 anima and 80 souls in all. The fourth tier opens the Trials of Wisdom the third does not, Azaruux's among them · about 12 h over 3 weeks
- Azaruux added to the Path: once enough of the earlier bosses are beaten, Dactylis offers the quest Azaruux, the Realm Ender (inside the coliseum: reclaim anima, connect four Anima Confluxes and capture the devourer's memory with the Soul Mirror), followed by Tactical Operation · about 1.5 h
- Azaruux beaten as a Trial of Courage, then of Loyalty, then of Wisdom: queue with Artemede, pick a soulbind and the boss at the Soul Mirror. A boss's higher trial opens once it has been beaten on the lower ones and enough other bosses have been beaten · about 2 h
In all: about 15.5 h of play, spread over 3 weeks, starting from nothing.

line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The covenant, the place and the requirements given above are for the Kyrian route only; members of the other covenants have their own, and the mount is account-wide once learned. The journal files the mount under Vendor and names only the four features.
Kyrian: certain on the first Wisdom win against Azaruux in the Path of Ascension, not a chance. Wowhead's guide lists the Dauntless Duskrunner as his reward on Wisdom and says a win leaves a chest holding the rewards shown on the boss's selection screen for a difficulty not beaten before. The wiki names the same boss and difficulty, and a 2022 comment from a player who tried all four covenants calls this the fastest and surest of them. One 2022 comment reports getting the mount from Azaruux's Trial of Loyalty, before Wisdom was open; nothing else read says so.
Azaruux is the last of the ten bosses; its Trial of Courage opens with the second tier (2020 comment). Comments of 2022 to 2025 on the guide say the fights have become very short at later level caps. Pelagos is the only soulbind to play at first (guide); the 2022 comment from the player who tried all four used him for every trial.
The place given above is Artemede, who starts a trial, at Wowhead's tooltip position on Elysian Hold's own map (28.0-28.6, 41.0-42.6). Dactylis, the Path's crafter, stands beside at about 29.4, 39 (as given for the Phalynx of Loyalty), and Haephus, who sells the upgrades, was not located. How fast Redeemed Souls come today was not checked.
Necrolord: sold by Atticus at Butchers Block in Maldraxxus for 5,000 Reservoir Anima at Exalted with the Stitchmasters, the reputation of Abominable Stitching (wiki; Wowhead's sold-by list has Atticus and a second seller named Abomination, both at 5,000 of currency 1813). The first rank of that feature is enough and higher ranks earn faster (top comment).
Night Fae: a chance find in the Queen's Conservatory Cache after growing a Divine Dutiful Spirit with four Wildseed Root Grain as catalysts, in the wildseed of the conservatory's fifth rank. The Greater and plain Dutiful Spirits give a lower chance (a 2021 player got it on a third try with a Greater one). Wowhead counts 571 mounts in 265,420 of those caches, 0.2%, a count pooled over every kind of spirit and catalyst.
Venthyr: a chance find in Mikanikos' tribute chest at the end of an Ember Court. Wowhead counts 65 in 3,002 Extravagant Tributes (2.2%) and 1 in 164 Substantial ones; the wiki says it takes Best Friends with him, and a 2021 player got it after three weekly courts with him at that standing. The top comment names the chests of two Bastion guests, which a later comment reads as Mikanikos and Polemarch Adrestes; Wowhead's loot lists only Mikanikos'.
