Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
Dropped by Humon'gozz, a rare in north-western Ardenweald that is not there until someone plants an Unusually Large Mushroom in the pile of Damp Loam at 32.4, 30.3. The mushroom is a chance find on any creature killed in Ardenweald and rots after 20 minutes, so it goes straight to the loam; the Rapidly Growing Mushroom that comes up turns into Humon'gozz a minute later.
Chance 71.51% once a day, so about 1 tries on average — Wowhead: 3,702 mounts in 5,177 recorded loots of Humon'gozz (filed under his first form, Rapidly Growing Mushroom; read 2026-10-10, pooled since 2020). Wowhead's own guide (updated March 2024), wow.gg and most comments call it a 100% drop; comments of October 2022 and 1 April 2026 report a kill without it, one of 15 May 2026 the mount on the first kill. Why the count falls short of 100% was not established

Notes and sources
The place given above is the Damp Loam, where Humon'gozz appears: the wiki has 32.45, 30.27, Wowhead's guide 32.4, 30.2. If the loam is not there, he was killed a short while ago: about 10 minutes for it to come back (a 2022 comment, wow.gg).
The mushroom is the work: it drops from ordinary creatures and rares alike, with no best spot agreed on. Comments name the Gormhive, Darkreach and Dreamsong Fenn; wow.gg names Tirna Vaal, the south of Gloomgrove and the Mistveil Tangle. Wowhead's tooltip shows it as Unique with a 20-minute real-time duration and no binding line.
Once he is up anyone there can join the fight and loot him, whoever planted the mushroom, and both factions get the mount (comments of 2020-2021); a 2022 comment saw him stay up for over an hour unkilled. He is a level 62 rare elite with about 580,000 health in Shadowlands terms (2020 comments, wow.gg). No covenant is needed (2020 comment).
The daily lockout is the one this guide gives the other Shadowlands rares. For him it rests only on a search summary of guides, from a page that could not then be read ('assuming they haven't already killed him that day'), while Wowhead's guide says only that he 'can always be summoned'.
The mount asks for level 45 on the wiki and level 10 in Wowhead's item data, and binds when picked up. Wowhead's page for him lists no loot counts of its own; the count is on the mount's page.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
