How to get it

Reward of the achievement Flawless Master (Layer 12): a Flawless run, which is five gems or 200 points on the score screen, on Layer 12 of each of the six ordinary wings of Torghast, Tower of the Damned: Skoldus Hall, Fracture Chambers, The Soulforges, Coldheart Interstitia, Mort'regar and The Upper Reaches. Torghast is entered through the portal at Ve'nari's Refuge in the Maw.

Time there about 1 h 40 min a visit

Guide Wowhead: Torghast Scoring System in Shadowlands - What Determines Your Points

Before you go

  • Torghast opened on the account: Highlord Bolvar Fordragon's quest line in Oribos, which starts with Into Torghast · about 2 h
  • Layer 12 opened: the layers open one after another, each with a run of at least 160 points (four gems) on the layer below, and an opened layer is open in all six wings, so the eleven runs can be made in any wing · about 3 h

In all: about 5 h of play, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Portal to Torghast, Ve'nari's Refuge
The Maw · 46.9, 41.7
/way The Maw 46.9 41.7
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 1.8 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Oribos*
  2. Jump into the Maw from the Ring of Transference
  3. Ride the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 1.8 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Oribos*
  2. Jump into the Maw from the Ring of Transference
  3. Ride the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

Torghast is neither a raid nor a dungeon, so no instance is named; the place given above is Ve'nari's spot by the portal, as for the Corridor Creeper. There is no flying in the Maw. All six wings are open at all times since patch 9.2.5; before that two were open a week, and the body of the wiki's Torghast page still says so.

The journal calls the achievement Flawless Master; it was renamed Flawless Master (Layer 12) in patch 9.2, when Layer 16 got an achievement of its own with a different reward (wiki). A Flawless run on a higher layer counts for the lower one: a 2022 Wowhead reply got both from one Layer 16 run. The six wing achievements can be earned on different characters (a 2021 Wowhead reply).

The score (Wowhead's guide, last updated 2021):

  • up to 100 points for completion (creatures killed, souls freed, urns broken)
  • up to 50 for time, against a par of roughly 22-26 minutes on the higher layers
  • bonus points while Empowered
  • fixed extras of 5 to 20 points
  • 20 off for every death

Wowhead comments from the later expansions (2023, 2024) say that at level 70 everything dies in one hit, that a run that kills everything, frees every soul, breaks the urns and does the side tasks is Flawless every time, and that a death or two still left the run Flawless. A full run took 15-20 minutes and all six wings about an hour (both 2024). Floor traps still hurt. The time on the spot is the six runs, an estimate from those two reports.

No report from Midnight was found: the newest comment read is of 2024. Wowhead's guide was written for parties of 2021; its scoring tables are what was taken from it.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
