How to get it

Reward of the Shadowlands adventure Campaign: Corpselice Catastrophe (level 60, five combatants, 4 hours, 25 Reservoir Anima), sent from the Command Table in a covenant sanctum. It is one of the last four Campaign adventures, each of which gives a mount, and by the fullest account the last of all: it is offered once 19 earlier Campaign adventures have been won, and winning it gives the mount.

Time there about 5 min a visit

Guides Wowhead: Covenant Adventures: Missions Upgraded for Shadowlands · Wowhead: Warstitched Darkhound, item page (a comment of 26 March 2021 walks through all four table mounts; others list winning teams)

Before you go

  • The Command Table built in the covenant sanctum: its first tier, Tactical Insight, costs 500 Reservoir Anima and 1 Redeemed Soul and takes one hour of research; a quest then sets up the Scouting Map · about 0.5 h
  • 19 Campaign adventures won, the ones whose names begin 'Campaign:' and which each give one Adventure Campaign Progress; the 17th, 18th and 19th give the Chittering Animite, the Darkwarren Hardshell and the Highwind Darkmane. They come one at a time and grow harder, so the companions have to be levelled on ordinary adventures alongside · about 3 h over 4 weeks
  • Campaign: Corpselice Catastrophe itself: 25 Reservoir Anima and the 4-hour timer; the offer stays for one day · 1 days

In all: about 3.5 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Oribos · 60.6, 68.4
/way Oribos 60.6 68.4
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 1 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Oribos*
  2. Fly the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 1 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Oribos*
  2. Fly the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

Any covenant will do: the comments report this adventure won as Necrolord, Night Fae, Kyrian and Venthyr. The Command Table stands in the character's own covenant sanctum (Elysian Hold, the Seat of the Primus, the Heart of the Forest or Sinfall), so there are four possible places. The place given above is Oribos, the hub every sanctum is reached from, with the coordinates used for the Chittering Animite and the Darkwarren Hardshell; which place to give is still to be decided for all of them.

Where it comes in the order rests on players' accounts, and they do not quite agree. A 2021 comment has the four mounts in the order Chittering Animite, Darkwarren Hardshell, Highwind Darkmane, Warstitched Darkhound, and a 2021 Night Fae also finished the four with this one and found no new adventure offered after it; but a 2021 Necrolord calls it the third of the four gained.

Three players (2021 to 2022) say they won the adventure and found no mount in their bags; one of them was offered it again after the other three mounts and got it then. Progress is a hidden currency (1889); /script print(C_CurrencyInfo.GetCurrencyInfo(1889).quantity) shows it (2021 comment). A 2025 reply says that if no new Campaign adventure is offered after one is won, changing covenant in Oribos and changing straight back brings it up, and that changing covenant while an adventure is out cancels it.

The fight is against two Corpselouse Mothers and six Spawnlings in Maldraxxus (wiki), and it also pays a Grimoire of Knowledge and one point of Adventure Campaign Progress. Commenters found it the hardest of the four; the 2021 comment on the order says Necrolord and Night Fae have the easier time of it. Adding a new level 1 companion lowers the level of the generic troops (2021 comment).

Teams that won:

  • Necrolord: companions of 28 to 36 (Plague Deviser Marileth, Secutor Mevix, Talethi, Emeni, Gunn Gorgebone; 2021) and of 37 to 43 (2021)
  • Night Fae, after the Ardenweald Trappers were weakened on 29 January 2021: companions of 43 to 47 (2021), or Qadarin, Meatball and a Trapper in front of Dreamweaver and Te'zan at 45 (2021; repeated in 2023 and 2024)
  • Kyrian: Bron, Kleia, Pelagos, Mikanikos and Meatball at 33 to 39 (2021)
  • Venthyr: companions of 40 to 48 (2021, 2022)

Wowhead's Covenant Adventures guide is linked from the item's own page; it was read in 2026 for the Chittering Animite and the Darkwarren Hardshell and not opened again for this mount. No wow.gg guide for this mount was found. The newest dated player report is the 2025 reply; nothing read is from after Midnight's launch. The item binds when picked up.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
