Serenade

Craft it at the mount Synthesis Forge in Zereth Mortis from Schematic: Serenade, 500 Genesis Motes, a Helicid Lattice and a Crystallized Echo of the First Song. The schematic hangs in the first room of the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid; picking it up starts a quest that is handed in at the forge.

Guide Wowhead: Protoform Synthesis: Eternity's End Mount and Pet Crafting System

• Cypher research timers: Aealic 18 h, Dealic 3 d 18 h, Sopranian 5 d 18 h, one after another · 10.25 days
• Zereth Mortis campaign to chapter 3, which opens the Cypher Console, and 470 Cyphers of the First Ones · about 5 h
• The 'Finding Tahli' quest chain through 'A New Architect', which opens the mount forge; until it is done the schematic does not show in the raid · about 1.5 h
• The schematic, inside the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid (entrance at 81.0, 53.3 in Zereth Mortis): in the first room, the Vigilant Guardian's, drop from the entry platform to the floor and go to the north-eastern corner, where it hangs upright between the chains under the platform. It starts 'Schematic Reassimilation: Serenade', handed in at the forge · about 0.5 h
• 500 Genesis Motes (most creatures in Zereth Mortis), a Helicid Lattice (snail creatures: the Overgrown Helicids and the rare Orixal around 56, 69) and a Crystallized Echo of the First Song (a crystal with a music note over it, by the waterfalls near the Sepulcher entrance, around 77.5, 45.4 to 78.4, 52.9 and 77.5, 60.4) · about 2.5 h

In all: about 9.5 h of play, spread over 10.25 days, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

The mount is made at the forge, after the 10-day research gate and the forge unlock it shares with the other Protoform Synthesis mounts. The journal says only 'Protoform Synthesis'. Its reagents are shared too: the Helicid Lattice with the Bronze Helicid, Scarlet Helicid and Unsuccessful Prototype Fleetpod, the Crystallized Echo with the Curious Crystalsniffer and Heartbond Lupine.

The forge's cave is at 68.5, 30.1 by Wowhead's guide; the place given is the one used for the other forge mounts in this guide. The raid is not given as the instance because the mount is made at the forge; the raid visit is one of the requirements.

The schematic is the one part that needs the raid: it lies in the first boss's room and can be taken without the fight. Wowhead comments of 2022:

• it was there on Raid Finder too
• several players could take it at once
• the creatures by the pool attack
• a golden sphere in the middle of the room carries a character back up to the platform

A raid group was needed to walk in at the time; whether it still is was not established, and nothing newer than 2022 was read on the room beyond the guide's own text (updated 2025).

The Crystallized Echo is a crystal to be picked up, not a drop. Wowhead's tooltip has it at 77.4-78.4, 45.4-60.5, near the Sepulcher entrance (81.0, 53.3), and once at 58.6, 89.9. The wiki says it is Unique (3), binds to the Warband and can also come from an Olea Cache. How often a crystal can be taken was not established.

By Wowhead's guide the mounts' rare reagents, the Crystallized Echo among them, only start to appear once the Sopranian research and the forge quest line are done, so the Echo cannot be gathered ahead. A lattice that pets use too, like the Helicid Lattice, drops from the Dealic research on. A ground mount.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
