Sold by Deathguard Netharian, the Combatant Mount Quartermaster in the Valley of Strength, Orgrimmar, for 1 Vicious Saddle. A saddle is earned in rated PvP while a season is running: wins at 1,000 rating (Combatant) or more fill the Season Rewards bar; the first full bar of a season gives that season's own vicious mount, and every further full bar in the same season gives a Vicious Saddle.

Notes and sources
This is the Horde mount (item 187680), sold by Deathguard Netharian in the Valley of Strength, Orgrimmar, for one Vicious Saddle. The Alliance one of the same name (item 187681) is a separate mount sold by Necrolord Sipe in Old Town, Stormwind City.
The journal and Wowhead's tooltip still give the original source, the Shadowlands Season 3 reward (then earned by rated wins at 1,000 rating or more; added in patch 9.2.0). That season is long over, but the wiki's pages for the mount, for the Vicious Saddle and for Deathguard Netharian (all edited in 2026) list it among the mounts he sells for one saddle, so it can still be earned.
Saddles can only be earned while a rated PvP season is running. Midnight Season 2 began on 18 August 2026 and the wiki's page (last edited 2026) lists it as ongoing; its own mount is the Vicious Lightbloom Boar. The wiki's season page lists the rated modes:
- 3v3 Arena
- Solo Shuffle
- Battleground Blitz
The saddle binds when picked up (wiki), so it goes to the character that fills the bar, and this vendor and this item are Horde ones, so that has to be a Horde character. The bar on the Rated tab of the PvP window shows the real progress.
The win counts are a guide's, not Blizzard's: wow.gg's page for the Vicious War Raptor, which describes the same bar, saddle and vendor but does not name this mount; a search found no guide written for the Vicious War Croaker itself. warcraftmounts.com's page for this mount gives the same counts, quoted from a Wowhead comment:
- a bar of 2,400 points
- 60 points for a 10v10 win
- 30 for a 3v3 win
- 10 for a 2v2 win
The guide gives no figure for Solo Shuffle. warcraftmounts.com names 1,400 as the rating to reach, where the wiki has 1,000 (Combatant) for this mount's own season and for the current one; the wiki is followed here.
The mount item asks for level 10 (wiki); the saddle asks for level 35 (wiki), and wow.gg gives 35 as the level to buy.
Coordinates are the wiki's for Deathguard Netharian (42.0, 73.8; NPC 73151). Wowhead's tooltip for him (2026: Combatant Mount Quartermaster, level 90, Orgrimmar) has three recorded points, 41.8, 73.0, 42.0, 72.4 and 42.0, 73.8, and wow.gg gives 42.0, 72.4: a few steps apart, all in the Valley of Strength.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
