Chance item, as the Tamed Mauler Harness, in Supplies of the Archivists' Codex, the paragon cache of The Archivists' Codex in Korthia. Chance 8.05% per try, so about 12 tries on average — Per cache. Wowhead's page for the harness (read 2026-10-10): 112 in 1,392 opened Supplies of the Archivists' Codex, per opening player. wow.gg says 'about 8%'. The item's own tooltip shows no chance

Before you go
- Korthia opened: the covenant campaign through The Search for Baine, then the Chains of Domination campaign from The First Move in Oribos through the Battle for Ardenweald scenario and Bolvar's chain Patterns Within Patterns. A later character on the same account can take Bolvar's skip in Oribos · about 3.5 h
- The Archivists of Korthia quest chain, which opens the faction: nine quests from Researching Korthian Relics (started by an item of that name looted from Korthia's rares and treasures) to Establishing the Archive, then Beginning the Collection · about 1 h
- Tier 6 with The Archivists' Codex: 41,000 reputation in all. Relics handed to Roh-Suir give one point for every two Cataloged Research, the twenty one-time relic quests give 500 each, and the relics come from Korthia's rares, treasures and daily quests and from the creatures of the Rift · about 25 h over 4 weeks
- 10,000 reputation past Tier 6 for each cache, from the same relics · about 1 h
In all: about 30.5 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Korthia 62.6 22.6 - Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Oribos*
- Take the portal to Korthia within the Ring of Transference*
- Ride the rest of the way

- Take the portal to Korthia within the Ring of Transference*
- Ride the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
One roll per cache, and each cache costs another 10,000 reputation, so there is no lockout, only the time to refill the bar; about 12 caches are expected at 8.05%. Wowhead commenters got it in the first cache (2026), the second and the third, and others were still without after 10 to 13 and after about 30; a 2023 comment notes that these caches have no bad-luck protection.
How fast a cache comes is where the sources part. Two 2025 Wowhead comments describe the same Rift route:
- a Repaired Riftkey (100 Cataloged Research from Roh-Suir at Tier 4; the caches hold one or two as well), used at the rift portal in the cave at 41.5, 41.4, north into the Maw
- a Cypher of Relocation from Ve'nari to jump to Ve'nari's Refuge
- the loop past the Tremaculum and the Crucible of the Damned, killing the big Famished Darkness creatures
- back to Roh-Suir with the relics
That gives 5,000 to 8,000 reputation for the 15 minutes the key lasts, with the Cypher's 20-minute cooldown setting the pace, so a cache about every 40 minutes. wow.gg counts 500-800 reputation a day and a cache every 2-3 weeks. Neither was checked in the game.
Shared or not: the wiki says the faction has been a Warband reputation since patch 11.1.5 (April 2025), and a 2025 Wowhead comment says a fresh character's one-time relic quests alone bring more than 10,000; wow.gg says each character has its own bar and is its own source of caches. Tier 6 here is 41,000 by the wiki's table; wow.gg says 'about 50,000'. The standing is called 'Tier 6', the name Wowhead and the wiki use; whether the game's data calls it that was not checked.
The cache also holds 3,500-5,000 gold, one or two Teleporter Repair Kits and Repaired Riftkeys, and a chance at the pet Gnashtooth (wiki, Wowhead's guide).
Coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip for Roh-Suir (61.4-62.6, 21.8-22.6), the same spot as for the Soaring Razorwing; a comment gives 61.6, 21.7 'inside the cave'. Korthia is marked as having no flying, like the guide's other Korthia mounts; wow.gg says flying works there with the achievement Unlocking the Secrets, which was not checked. Wowhead's guide dates from 2021 and still speaks of Season 2 gear, but its quest list, relic values and paragon section are what it is linked for.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
