Notes and sources
One chest a character each time the Necrolord Assault comes round, about every two weeks, so the weekly lockout here means one try a fortnight on each character. About 23 chests are expected at 4.38%; single reports on Wowhead run from the first chest to more than 70, and players bring several characters to each assault to shorten the wait.
Which assault is up is shown on the Maw map; the order of the four was not looked up. While it is up, the portal at the Seat of the Primus in Maldraxxus leads to the Maw instead, and a flight down to Perdition Hold (wiki). Flying is not possible in the Maw.
The assault is a string of tasks (wiki):
- report to Draka at the gate
- four of the quests offered around Perdition Hold
- Draka's Battlehorn at about 31.3, 59.6
- the advance to the Altar of Domination (25.9, 66.4)
- Ritualist Vexicon, Ritualist Asmea and Evelana the Dread
The time on the spot is an estimate.
That the mount is not kept to Necrolord characters rests on Wowhead comments (2021: it dropped for Night Fae characters) and on the wiki naming no restriction. A 2026 Wowhead comment confirms the chest still gives the mount in Midnight, and that the assaults did not show for that player until a quest in Korthia was done.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
