Given to a Venthyr character on reaching Renown 45 with the covenant: the mount comes with the Renown level itself, wherever that level is earned. No vendor sells it.

Before you go
- Venthyr Renown 45. Once the covenant's first chapter is done, Renown comes a level at a time from the two weekly quests (1,000 anima for the sanctum, Shaping Fate in Korthia and the Maw), covenant callings, the weekly world boss, random dungeons and Raid Finder wings, Mythic dungeons, raid bosses, Torghast and PvP wins, up to the cap of 80; the covenant campaign pays Renown too but no longer has to be played for it. An account with a character that has reached Renown 80 can have it buy the Broker Mark of Distinction from Au'Dara in Oribos, which sets a character's Renown to 60 · about 7 h over 3 days
In all: about 7 h of play, spread over 3 days, starting from nothing.

There is nowhere to travel for this one.
Notes and sources
The mount arrives with Renown 45 with the Venthyr, wherever that level is earned, so no place is given. The Venthyr sanctum, where the weekly quests are taken, is Sinfall in Revendreth (the Sinfall Gargon's quartermaster is at 54, 25.6 on Sinfall's own map). The journal's 'Covenant: Venthyr, Zone: Revendreth' names no source.
The sources on Renown 45:
- the wiki: the mount is 'obtained by reaching 45 Renown with the Venthyr Covenant', and its renown table has 'Mount: Sinfall Gravewing. You will be granted this mount' at Renown 45
- Wowhead's Venthyr renown guide (2021) lists the mount at 45
- a 2026 Wowhead comment: 'Reward for reaching Renown 45 with the Venthyr'
- Wowhead's item page (2026) shows no seller, only a hidden tracking quest (64131) as the source
How fast Renown comes today was not measured. A 2024 comment on the item says a few of the expansion's raids make Renown 'shoot through the roof', and one of 2021 under the catch-up guide went from 40 to 80 in under two weeks on callings, world bosses, Maw assaults, campaign quests and the weekly quests, with no dungeons or raids. The guide itself warns that no source of catch-up Renown is fully reliable and names the weekly world boss as the most consistent; it predates Midnight. Whether the Broker Mark of Distinction, which goes straight past 45, hands the mount over at once was not established.
A character belongs to one covenant at a time. The mount is normally usable only by Venthyr; Renown 80 with the Venthyr on some character makes it usable by every character of the Warband (wiki). The item binds when picked up and asks for level 10 (wiki). Added in patch 9.1.0.
The Necrolord and Night Fae twins of this mount are the Maldraxxian Corpsefly and the Ardenweald Wilderling; the Obsidian Gravewing, the recolour sold in Sinfall for 7,500 anima, is a separate mount.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
