How to get it

The blood elf paladin's own first mount, the slower of the two Thalassian horses. A blood elf paladin learns it automatically at level 10. No item, vendor or quest is involved.

Before you go

  • A blood elf paladin levelled to 10 · about 1 h

In all: about 1 h of play, starting from nothing.

Getting there

There is nowhere to travel for this one.

Notes and sources

No place is given because there is nowhere to travel for the mount: a blood elf paladin of level 10 already has it. The second horse, the Thalassian Charger, comes at level 17 (warcraftmounts.com). The journal files it under quests and says only "Paladin"; there is no item and no quest was found.

Who may have it:

  • Wowhead's tooltip for the spell (34769) says Requires Paladin, Faction: Horde
  • the wiki says it is used by a blood elf paladin
  • Wowhead's Mists of Pandaria Classic page for the spell lists Race: Blood Elf, Class: Paladin

Not established: whether a blood elf paladin made with a Class Trial or a level boost gets it the same way (a 2024 Wowhead comment says a Class Trial tauren paladin has both of its kodos at once), and whether it shows as collected on other characters of the account (a 2018 comment found the tauren's kodo not counted on a blood elf paladin).

Wowhead's retail page for the spell could not be read: it jumped to the Mists of Pandaria Classic page, whose comments are about the old game (2007 to 2012, the paladin trainer and its fee; a few later ones are from Classic players). So nothing recent from players was read for this mount, and these notes rest on the wiki, the tooltip and warcraftmounts.com.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
