How to get it

Bring ten Lost Razorwing Eggs to the Razorwing Nest on the western edge of the Windswept Aerie in Korthia. The eggs drop from the devourers of Korthia, most of them around the Estuary of Awakening and the Sanctuary of Guidance, at most two a day per character. When the tenth is in the nest the Dusklight Matriarch flies down and the mount lands in the bags.

Time there about 15 min a visit

Before you go

  • Korthia opened: the Chains of Domination campaign through its second chapter, Maw Walkers, which brings the portal from Oribos and Korthia's daily content · about 2.5 h
  • 10 Lost Razorwing Eggs from Korthia's devourers: no more than two a day, and in practice one, since the day's first egg comes within a few dozen kills and a second seldom at all. The eggs bind when picked up, so one character gathers all ten; they can be saved up and placed in one go · about 2.5 h over 10 days

In all: about 5 h of play, spread over 10 days, starting from nothing.

  2. Take the portal to Korthia within the Ring of Transference*
  3. Ride the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 3.3 min of travel

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The mount is certain with the tenth egg placed at the nest (wiki, Wowhead's guide and comments); the test realm asked for six, and some older pages still say so. Keep all ten eggs and place them in one sitting, and not while in a raid group: a 2021 comment lost eggs placed in a raid group without credit.

The journal says only 'Zone: Korthia' and files the mount under drops; Wowhead's item page lists it as the reward of a hidden quest (64274), which counts the eggs placed. The count can be read with /run print(select(4, GetQuestObjectiveInfo(64274, 0, false))).

The hidden count has failed more than once:

  • it went back to 0 with patch 9.2 (February 2022), and again for some players in 2023
  • from May 2024 placed eggs were not counted at all; players who put in ten got nothing until a fix around 13 August 2024, after which several report the mount (2024 and 2025)
  • in 2025 one comment lost ten eggs with the count stuck at 1 of 10, another saw the count reset after each single egg, and a reply placed all ten at once and got the mount

Game Masters gave back neither eggs nor mount. The newest comment on the item's page is of 2025 (a player given the mount at the seventh egg, perhaps older progress restored), so nothing confirms how it stands in Midnight.

The first egg placed brings out a nest guardian that attacks; the others only a cry of gratitude in the chat.

Which devourers drop eggs:

  • the top-rated Wowhead comment (2021): Ravenous Gorger, Nimble Scavenger and Colossal Worldeater are the better droppers
  • another comment adds Mindseize Controller and the rares Konthrogz the Obliterator and Xyraxz the Unknowable
  • Wowhead's guide calls the rares Wild Worldcracker and Konthrogz 'almost guaranteed'
  • a 2021 player did best on Melded Gorgers in the Sanctuary of Guidance
  • the small mites drop none (a test-realm comment, wow.gg)

Farming spots from a 2021 test-realm comment: 37.8, 48.8 and 54.8, 20.3. The egg stacks to 10 and binds when picked up (wiki); a player who tried found that eggs placed by a second character do not add to the first one's count.

The daily cap: the wiki, wow.gg (updated 2026) and the 2021 comments say two a day; a 2025 comment had three in one day and wondered whether the cap runs on another clock than the daily reset. Method's guide (2022) says to farm until one egg a day for ten days and to walk into Korthia from the Maw, which by Wowhead's guide leaves the zone without its objectives.

The nest:

  • 25.7, 51.1: the wiki and wow.gg
  • 25.58, 51.17: a comment
  • 25.16, 51.13: Method

There is no flying in Korthia, even with Shadowlands flying (Wowhead's guide, updated 2025). wow.gg's zone names are garbled ('Maw of the Maw', 'Sanctuary of Heading'), which is why it is linked last. Wowhead's Korthia guide has a Dusklight Razorwing section, under the mounts from special daily events, with a map of the devourers and the nest.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
