Before you go

  • Exalted with The Enlightened: 42,000 reputation from Neutral. The Zereth Mortis campaign gives 4,050 (2,100 in chapters 1-3, 450 in chapter 4, 500 in each of chapters 5-7) and a handful of side quests about 500 more. After that: each Zereth Mortis world quest 125 (two a day, three once the first Cypher research is done), the weekly quest Patterns Within Patterns 1,250, the world boss Antros 500, each rare 10 or 15 once a day, and a clear of the Sepulcher of the First Ones about 1,000 once a week for each character. The reputation is shared by the whole Warband since patch 11.1.5, so other characters' weekly quests and raid clears add to it · about 40 h over 9 weeks
  • 5,000 Reservoir Anima (Shadowlands world quests and callings, Zereth Mortis quests and rares; it builds up while the reputation is earned) · about 2 h

In all: about 42 h of play, spread over 9 weeks, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Vilo, Haven
Zereth Mortis · 34.8, 64.2
/way Zereth Mortis 34.8 64.2
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 1.7 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Oribos*
  2. Speak to Tal-Inara within Oribos to travel to Zereth Mortis
  3. Fly the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 1.7 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Oribos*
  2. Speak to Tal-Inara within Oribos to travel to Zereth Mortis
  3. Fly the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The journal shows the cost only as '5,000'; it is Reservoir Anima, spent from the covenant's reservoir (wiki). The item binds when picked up. Vilo's place is from Wowhead's tooltip for the NPC (182257).

The reputation is the whole of the work and the slowest in Zereth Mortis. The guide's amounts date from 2022, and 2025 comments still quote them, adding that:

  • the quartermaster's ordinary daily quests give none
  • world quests are not renewed every day
  • the raid pays once a week for each character on one difficulty only: about 50 a boss and 250 for the Jailer by one count, 1,000 for a clear with its elites by another
  • two chests near Haven hold one-time items worth 75 each

One 2025 comment says skipping the first three campaign chapters on a second character gave no reputation where the account already had some.

Sources disagree on two things. wow.gg (2026) says the reputation is personal, against 2025 Wowhead comments that call it Warband-wide since 11.1.5; and wow.gg gives Antros 200 where Wowhead's guide has 500.

The Contract: The Enlightened, an inscription item, adds reputation for world quests done elsewhere in Shadowlands (a 2025 comment); it is not counted here. Vilo also sells the Anointed Protostag at Revered and hands out a supply cache for every 10,000 reputation past Exalted (see the notes for those mounts).

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
