Notes and sources
The journal says only 'Protoform Synthesis'. The recipe is 450 Genesis Motes, 1 Eternal Ragepearl and 1 Vespoid Lattice (wiki, Wowhead's guide).
The schematic's spot rests on Wowhead's guide alone (53.3, 25.6; its waypoint is labelled 'Forged Spiteflayer', and a 2022 comment repeats the same coordinates); the wiki's pages for the schematic and its quest give no location at all. One of the five spots of the Pulp-Covered Relic, the treasure with Buzz's schematic, is at 53.4, 25.8, in the same hive. Whether the schematic can be picked up before the mount forge is open was not established.
The pearl: Wowhead's guide (updated 2025) names the Dominated Runeshaper as its source, which the Raptora Swooper's notes place on Antecedent Isle; the wiki says it drops from elite automa in Zereth Mortis and in the Sepulcher of the First Ones, and very rarely from an Olea Cache. The pearl binds to the Warband and is Unique (2) (wiki). The guide says the mounts' rare reagents only start dropping once the Sopranian research and the forge quests are done, so the pearl cannot be gathered ahead; lattices that pets use too, the Vespoid Lattice among them, drop from the Dealic research on.
Where the Dominated Runeshapers and Vespoid Workers stand was not looked up again for this mount (the Vespoid Flutterer's notes have the workers around 50-52, 41-43).
A 2022 commenter crafted this mount a second time by mistake: the forge lets a known mount be made again, and the materials are lost.
The mount shares its research gate of about 10 days and the forge unlock with the other Protoform Synthesis mounts, the Eternal Ragepearl with the Raptora Swooper, and the Vespoid Lattice with the Bronzewing Vespoid, Buzz and the Vespoid Flutterer. The guide puts the forge's cave at 68.5, 30.1; the place given above is the spot used for this guide's other forge mounts. Wowhead's page for the mount itself was not read; its tooltip data is of 2026. The item binds when picked up and asks for level 10 (wiki).
