Notes and sources
The journal says only 'Protoform Synthesis'. The mount shares its 10-day research gate and the forge unlock with the other Protoform Synthesis mounts, and the Eternal Ragepearl with the Forged Spiteflyer.
Wowhead's guide (updated 2025) names the Dominated Runeshaper as the pearl's source; the wiki says it drops from elite automa in Zereth Mortis and in the Sepulcher of the First Ones, and very rarely from an Olea Cache. No drop chance for the lattice or the pearl was found beyond the guide's 'around 10%'.
The guide says the mounts' rare reagents only start dropping once the Sopranian research and the forge quest line are done, so the materials cannot be gathered ahead. Whether the schematic can be picked up before the mount forge is open was not established.
