Notes and sources
Alliance characters start Unfriendly with the Kurenai, and Horde characters are Unfriendly with The Mag'har until the Hellfire Peninsula quest A Spirit Guide makes them Neutral (wiki). The same standing opens the other seven talbuk mounts at these two vendors (four riding talbuks at 70 gold, four war talbuks at 100).
The wiki says the non-repeatable quests bring the Kurenai close to Revered; for The Mag'har it counts about 1,000 reputation from Hellfire Peninsula's quests and 8,740 from Nagrand's. The repeatable hand-in of 10 Obsidian Warbeads for 500 carries on from there: More Warbeads to Warden Moi'bff Jill in Telaar, Proving Your Strength in Garadar (to Warden Bullrok, by the Cobalt War Talbuk's notes).
Every Nagrand ogre gives 10 a kill, and so do most Murkblood creatures for The Mag'har. The wiki says the beads drop mainly in the Northwind and Southwind Clefts of the Halaani Basin, and that kills and hand-ins pay all the way to Exalted.
The speed of the grind in the current game was not measured, only the per-kill figures, and the rate at which ogres drop warbeads is taken from the other talbuks' notes.
Two items teach this mount, one for each faction's vendor: 29230 from Narasu (Wowhead's tooltip lists only Alliance races and 'Requires Kurenai - Exalted') and 29105 from Nasela. The wiki has the reins at level 17 with Apprentice Riding since patch 9.0.1; Wowhead's tooltip shows Apprentice Riding and no level.
Vendor coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip positions as read for the Cobalt War Talbuk in 2026 (Narasu 54.4-54.6, 75.0-75.2; Nasela 53.4-53.6, 36.8-37.0), not read again; the wiki places Narasu 'on the east side of the inn, outside' and gives no figures. Of Wowhead, only the tooltip for item 29230 was read for this mount. No guide is linked: none was found for these two reputations for the other talbuks, and none was looked for again.
