Loyal Magmammoth

Earned at the Obsidian Citadel in three steps. A True Friend of both Wrathion and Sabellian is sold the Sturdy Obsidian Glasses by Wrathion's quartermasters and the Netherforged Lavaproof Boots by Sabellian's, 800 gold each. Yries Lightfingers on the Obsidian Throne takes the pair in exchange for a Magmammoth Harness. The harness is then used from the back of a Tame Magmammoth taken from the Qalashi, and the mount is learned on the spot.

Guides Wowhead: Wrathion and Sabellian - Dragonflight Reputation Guide · Warcraft Tavern: Loyal Magmammoth Mount Guide

• True Friend with Wrathion: 42,000 reputation from nothing, five ranks of 8,400. Each week one of the two dragons is chosen with Allegiance to One; the week's first key, a Greater Obsidian Key, goes to him through Keys of Loyalty (1,000), and he offers three weekly quests where the other dragon offers one. After that every Restored Obsidian Key (30 Key Fragments and 3 Key Framing from the djaradin elites of the citadel) handed to Wrathion is 250, his event Clearing the Vault 250, and each Sargha's Signet the djaradin drop 50 · about 12 h
• True Friend with Sabellian: 42,000 reputation from nothing, five ranks of 8,400, earned the same way in the weeks he is the one chosen: Keys of Loyalty (1,000), his three weekly quests, 250 for every Restored Obsidian Key handed to him, 250 for his event Death's Shadow, and 50 for each Mark of Sargha. Standing with one dragon is not lost by working for the other · about 12 h
• 1,600 gold: the Sturdy Obsidian Glasses, 800 gold from Lorena Belle (25.2, 55.8, upper level) or Atticus Belle (26.5, 62.5, lower level), and the Netherforged Lavaproof Boots, 800 gold from Samia Inkling (24.7, 56.8, upper level) or Xaldrass (27.7, 56.3). Yries Lightfingers takes one of each for the Magmammoth Harness
• The harness used: fly to the Tame Magmammoth at Burning Ascent (33.4, 72.1), kill the Qalashi Necksnapper sitting beside it, mount the friendly mammoth and use the harness from the bags while riding it · about 0.1 h

In all: about 24.1 h of play, 1,600 gold, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

The journal says only "Vendor: Yries Lightfingers". What he sells is the Magmammoth Harness (item 201837), for one pair of boots and one pair of glasses, which is why Wowhead's page for the mount item lists no seller; the wiki's stock list for him says the same. His coordinates are Wowhead's (tooltip) and the wiki's.

Four Tame Magmammoths stand in The Waking Shores:

• 33.4, 72.1 Burning Ascent
• 23.7, 71.4 Dragonbane Keep
• 66.3, 24.5 Scalecracker Keep
• 37.1, 44.5 Smoldering Perch

Commenters from 2022 to 2026 got the harness to work only on the one at Burning Ascent, whose Qalashi owner has to be there and be killed first; otherwise the harness answers "You must be riding a stolen Tame Magmammoth". A /reload is the cure commenters give when the mammoth cannot be mounted. Using the harness also gives the achievement Grand Theft Mammoth.

The two reputations are the whole cost, and their time is the weak figure: no source gives a rate. Both have been Warband reputations since patch 11.0 (wiki), while the weekly quests and the token drops are per character (a 2025 comment on Wowhead's guide: with a few alts and a reputation event both were done in under a day). The Sargha tokens are not bound and can be traded between players (wiki).

Sources disagree on the total: Warcraft Tavern counts 50,400 a dragon, six times 8,400, but Wowhead's guide and the wiki have six ranks with 8,400 between each, which is 42,000 to the last.

Other amounts from Wowhead's guide: a key handed to Forgemaster Bazentus or Igys the Believer gives 75 with each dragon, and their events 100 with each; every 20 keys handed to a dragon by all players together start his event. The guide (published 2022, last edited 2023) covers the reputations and their vendors but not this mount; a 2024 comment under it adds the boots, the glasses and the harness.

What unlocks the reputations, where sources differ:

• the guide: level 70 and world quests are enough
• comments of 2022 and 2023: the Waking Shores story is needed first
• a 2026 comment: on an account new to Dragonflight, Allegiance to One did not show until the quest Siblings Until the End (78865) was done; a later 2026 reply asks whether the skip avoids that, without an answer

The level asked for is not confirmed; the reputation guide speaks of level 70 for the citadel's world quest.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
