/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Into the Storm is also written up under the Stormtouched Bruffalon, and the hours, the days and the reading of Wowhead's guide are taken over from there, with the wiki's page for the achievement and True Endgame's guide (2024) added.
The wait is the weak figure: storms land at random, and the last of the 16 lots can take long. True Endgame's writer waited a week and a half for one storm; Wowhead comments of 2024 tell of five days with storms in two zones only and of two weeks' wait for the last lot.
The sources disagree on how many storms run at once: Wowhead's guide says one every three hours, True Endgame two zones at a time. An active storm shows on the zone map with its element and time left, and Wowhead's front page (Today in WoW) lists it.
Kills by members of one's group in the same zone count for Storm Chaser, and only creatures with Elementally Imbued count; Primalists usually do not (True Endgame). Each of the 16 lots has its own achievement (Chasing Storms in Thaldraszus and the like).
True Endgame lists 16 rares by name, four to a storm kind, while saying "8 of 18"; the exact number is not settled. The rares turn up at:
- the Cobalt Assembly, Brackenhide Hollow and Imbu (The Azure Span)
- the Obsidian Citadel and Scalecracker Keep (The Waking Shores)
- Nokhudon Hold (Ohn'ahran Plains)
- Tyrhold (Thaldraszus)
Elemental Overflow also comes from rares and quests on the Forbidden Reach, storm or no storm (True Endgame; the Forbidden Reach opens with the quest Hidden Legacies in Valdrakken). Set pieces also drop from storm rares; of Mythressa's cloaks only one counts for each armor type (Wowhead's guide: Cloak of Raging Tempests for cloth, Shroud for leather, Wrap for mail, Cape for plate).
The achievement dates from patch 10.0.0; the mount was added to it in patch 10.2.6 (March 2024) and progress is account-wide since patch 11.0.0 (wiki). In the first days of 10.2.6 the mount was not handed over and came by mail later.
Mythressa's place is Wowhead's tooltip for her as of 2026 (38.0-38.2, 37.4-37.6); True Endgame has the same 38.2, 37.6.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
