How to get it

Reward of the achievement Army of the Fed: eight achievements of the Iskaara Tuskarr and the Azure Span. Two belong to the Community Feast in Iskaara, three to the tuskarr's fishing (the secret fishing spots, the nets of the five fishing holes, the Massive Lunkers), one to side quests and two to the rares and treasures of the Azure Span. The nets set the pace: only two of the five fishing holes are open in a week. One treasure asks for Renown 21 with the Dragonscale Expedition.

Guides Wowhead: A World Awoken Dragonflight Meta-Achievement Guide · True Endgame: Bestowed Trawling Mammoth

Before you go

  • Renown 15 with the Iskaara Tuskarr: Renown 3 opens the Community Feast, 4 the fishing holes, 6 Highlands fishing, 7 the harpoon, 10 ice fishing and 15 lava fishing · about 12 h over 11 days
  • Renown 21 with the Dragonscale Expedition, which the Sapphire Gem Cluster, one of the six treasures, asks before it can be looted · about 17 h over 12 days
  • Soupervisor and Leftovers' Revenge, both at the Community Feast in Iskaara, which starts every 90 minutes and cooks for 15: complete 100 tasks (doing what Big Kinook orders counts one, pressing the Yes Chef button before doing it makes it two, and each piece of meat or fish head found around Iskaara and thrown into the pot counts one), and kill Bisquius, who appears at the end of a feast whose soup has reached Legendary quality · about 2 h over 1 days
  • Secret Fishing Spots: the three fishing techniques, each made by Tavio in Iskaara (12.8, 49.2). Highlands fishing at Renown 6 (the quest Highlands Fishing: Flying Fish Bones lie by the skinning trainer in the south of Iskaara, 12.5, 49.9), ice fishing at Renown 10 (the Iskaaran Ice Axe, from a Pickaxe Blade picked up at Three-Falls Lookout, 18.9, 24.3) and lava fishing at Renown 15 (the Polished Basalt Bracelet, from 3 Sea-Polished Basalt off the shore by the Wingrest Embassy in The Waking Shores; True Endgame puts them by the Wild Coast zeppelin dock, 81.3, 31.3) · about 1 h
  • Taking From Nature: set a net at each of the five fishing holes by doing the hole's own daily quest and then placing the net. River Mouth in The Waking Shores (63.6, 75.0) is always open; of the other four only one is open each week, at random: Roaring Dragonsprings in the Ohn'ahran Plains (80.8, 78.4; Predator Control), Tyrhold in Thaldraszus (57.2, 65.2; Underwater Menace), Grimtusk's in The Azure Span (58.6, 34.4; Net Worth; only comes up once ice fishing is learned and the Grimtusk Hideaway story of Sojourner of Azure Span is done) and Burning Ascent in The Waking Shores (34.4, 65.0; Frogs of Fire; only comes up once lava fishing is learned) · about 2 h over 4 weeks
  • We're Going to Need a Bigger Harpoon: build the Iskaaran Harpoon (Renown 7 and 25 Dragon Isles Fishing: a Harpoon Head from the anvil in Iskaara at 12.9, 48.8, a Wooden Pole at 12.1, 41.1 or 20.7, 36.1, and Tattered Seavine from the rare Fisherman Tinnak around 50, 37; Tavio puts it together), then summon 10 Massive Lunkers yourself at the Lunker totem of an open fishing hole, 5 Ominous Conch each, 50 in all. The conches are fished up in the Dragon Isles; both guides send you to the pond where the niffen fish in Loamm, Zaralek Cavern · about 3 h
  • Lend a Helping Span: the 16 optional quests of Camp Antonidas, Three-Falls Lookout and Iskaara in The Azure Span, some of them behind short lead-in quests · about 3 h
  • Adventurer of The Azure Span: 10 of the zone's 32 rares and special encounters · about 2 h
  • Treasures of The Azure Span: all six. Three lie open: the Rubber Fish (54.7, 29.3), the Lost Compass (74.9, 55.0) and the Pepper Hammer (26.5, 46.3: take the tree sap, click the stick, then the bird). Three only show once their map has been found and read: the Forgotten Jewel Box (45.1, 59.4; map Sorrowful Letter), the Gnoll Fiend Flail (cave entrance at 54, 44; map Letter of Caution) and the Sapphire Gem Cluster (48.6, 24.7; map Precious Plans, and Renown 21 as above). The maps are chance finds in Expedition Scout's Packs, Disturbed Dirt and treasure chests of the Dragon Isles · about 3 h

In all: about 45 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Big Kinook at the Communal Pot, Iskaara (hub: the work is spread over the Dragon Isles)
The Azure Span · 13.6, 48.6
/way The Azure Span 13.6 48.6
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 2.1 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Stormwind to Bel'ameth*
  2. Fly the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 3 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Valdrakken*
  2. Fly the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

A long project, not a trip: the mount is granted when the eighth achievement completes, and nothing has to be collected anywhere. Army of the Fed (achievement 19482, added in patch 10.2.6) has account-wide progress (Wowhead), and the wiki says its parts have been account-wide since patch 11.0. The days of the requirements overlap; four weeks is the least it can take because of the fishing holes, and a character starting both renowns from nothing should count on five or six. Big Kinook's place is the wiki's; the feast's pot is beside him.

The Massive Lunkers, where sources disagree: the achievement's text still reads 25 (Wowhead tooltip) and both guides count 125 Ominous Conches, but the criterion on Wowhead's page for the achievement counts to 10 and the wiki records a hotfix of 3 July 2024 that lowered it from 25; 10 is used here. Only Massive Lunkers summoned by the player count, and the Iskaaran Harpoon has to be in the bags (True Endgame).

Other disagreements:

  • the daily at River Mouth is Flying Fish in Wowhead's guide and Otter Devastation in True Endgame
  • the rares that count: 32 in the wiki's list, 22 by True Endgame's text
  • Wowhead's guide lists four more quest names under Lend a Helping Span than the wiki's 16 (A Shard of the Past, Legendary Foil, Rowie, Scampering Scamps); by True Endgame those are the lead-ins to The Heart of the Deck, Toejam the Terrible and Can We Keep It?

That the Sapphire Gem Cluster needs Renown 21 with the Dragonscale Expedition rests on True Endgame (2024) and on a summary of Wowhead's treasure comments; the wiki's page for the cluster names only the map. It is kept as a requirement so that nobody arrives short. The comment Wowhead's guide links for the treasures was not read.

The Community Feast: the soup's quality rises with the tasks all players present complete, and Bisquius only comes at Legendary; both guides advise the day of the weekly reset, when more players take part, and no source gives a number of players it takes. The wiki puts the feast behind Renown 3 and the quest Community Feasts.

One net quest can be done a day, and the net has to be placed after the quest or the hole does not count (True Endgame). True Endgame also has:

  • Tuskarr Tackleboxes give a conch about one time in nine but need Renown 27
  • the rares Gruffy, Grumbletrunk and Skag the Thrower belong to a cycle of 28 rares over the four zones, one every 30 minutes
  • Bisquius, the Community Feast's boss, and the rare Fisherman Tinnak, who drops the harpoon's seavine, both count toward the 10 rares

Dragon Isles renown has been Warband-wide since patch 11.0 (wiki), and characters below Renown 10 or 20 on an account that has it earn it two or three times as fast (wiki: Word of a Worthy Ally). Wowhead's guide was updated in 2025, True Endgame's in 2024.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
