How to get it

A dracthyr racial mount. Treysh, the quartermaster in Morqut Village on the Forbidden Reach, sells it for 40 gold to dracthyr, and to any other character that is Exalted with the Obsidian Warders (Alliance) or the Dark Talons (Horde). Dracthyr can also buy it from Tethalash behind the Obsidian Enclave in Valdrakken (25.5, 33.6), and a new dracthyr may pick it as the reward of the quest Cavalry Has Its Place in the starting zone.

Guide wow.gg: Bronze Vorquin

Before you go

  • Exalted with the Obsidian Warders (Alliance) or the Dark Talons (Horde), unless the buyer is a dracthyr: the one-time quests of the Forbidden Reach, the two envoy dailies in Morqut Village (350 each), the world quests there and some pet-battle world quests elsewhere on the Dragon Isles · about 15 h over 4 weeks
  • The Forbidden Reach opened at level 70: Hidden Legacies from Kurazidaia in Valdrakken (61.0, 26.1) and the quests after it. She also offers to skip them, which gives up the 1,050 reputation they pay · about 0.75 h
  • 40 gold

In all: about 15.8 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, 40 gold, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources

The journal gives neither the race nor the reputation. The item's tooltip on Wowhead reads: must be dracthyr, exalted with the Obsidian Warders (Alliance), or exalted with the Dark Talons (Horde). The wiki says Tethalash in Valdrakken sells to dracthyr only, so the place given is Treysh in Morqut Village, where the wiki has other races buying at Exalted; a dracthyr is better served in Valdrakken. The mount is account-wide once learned, so on an account with any dracthyr the reputation is not needed at all.

The time to Exalted on another race is the weak figure: it rests on a handful of Wowhead comments, and how much a day brings depends on which world quests are up. Wowhead lists 81 quests that pay this reputation, 19,900 in all if each is counted once, some of them dracthyr starting quests, so more than half has to come from repeating the dailies and world quests.

The reputation is per character, not shared across the Warband (a 2024 comment). Comments of 2024 report the standing being reset to zero after patch 11.0 and later holding again, and one of 2025 reports characters that quested there in Dragonflight showing no standing at all.

Wowhead lists two Treysh: the Morqut Village one is NPC 200559 (level 70-90, at 35.4-35.6, 59.4); the other belongs to the dracthyr starting version of the zone, which other characters cannot reach. The wow.gg guide (updated 2026) gives the same rule and prices; it places Treysh at 45.2, 61.2 and adds that she moved to Morqut Village with patch 10.0.7.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
