Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
Sold by Falara Nightsong, the Azewrath vendor among the Time Rift vendors at the Tyrhold Reservoir in Thaldraszus, for 3,000 Paracausal Flakes. The flakes come from Time Rifts, the event that starts there at the top of every hour. The same item can also drop from the boss at the end of a rift.
Time there about 2 min a visit
Before you go
- 3,000 Paracausal Flakes: 1,000 from the weekly quest When Time Needs Mending (complete one Time Rift), and from each rift 1-2 for every enemy, 30 for every task, 150 for the boss and the three reward boxes (20, 40 and 80). A rift starts every hour: about ten minutes of tasks, then the boss · about 2 h over 1 days
In all: about 2 h of play, spread over 1 days, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Thaldraszus 51 56.6 - Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Valdrakken*
- Fly the rest of the way
- Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Valdrakken*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The journal's "Cost: 3,000" is Paracausal Flakes: Wowhead's sold-by list has Falara Nightsong (NPC 208341) at 3,000 of currency 2594, and the wiki agrees. Rifts are joined at Soridormi (51.1, 57.1; wiki), and each brings one of two timelines shown on the map, which does not matter for buying. The coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip for Falara Nightsong and the wiki's; the other rift vendors stand on the same spot. Neither source says outright that the vendors stand there between rifts.
The journal names the drop first; the purchase is the route given because the drop's chance was never published and Wowhead records no loot counts for it. By Wowhead's guide every vendor item can drop from the boss of its own timeline, Azewrath for this mount, and an Encapsulated Destiny from the weekly quest guarantees some reward from the next rift boss, not this mount in particular. 2023 comments report the mount from bosses of other timelines and from the reward box at 7,500 points.
Where the sources disagree:
- the boxes: Wowhead's guide has them at 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 Temporal Essence with 20, 40 and 80 flakes, the wiki at 2,500, 5,000 and 7,500 points
- flakes a requested kill: 2 by the wiki, 1-2 by Wowhead
- the first stage: nine minutes by the wiki, ten by Wowhead
Flakes also come from the dungeon Dawn of the Infinite (2023 comment). The item binds to the Warband.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
