Before you go
- Exalted with the Sha'tari Skyguard: 42,000 reputation from Neutral. It starts with Threat from Above, taken near the flight master in Shattrath, which leads to Blackwind Landing. From there: the arakkoa of Skettis (5 to 30 a kill by the wiki's table), the bosses called up at the skull piles with Time-Lost Scrolls (350 for each one's trophy), Terokk at the end of the Terokk's Downfall chain, and the dailies Fires Over Skettis (350) and Escape from Skettis (150). The Skyguard Outpost in the Blade's Edge Mountains adds the dailies Bomb Them Again! (500) and Wrangle More Aether Rays! (350) · about 6 h

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Grella sells all five riding nether rays at Exalted: blue, green, purple, red and silver. Skettis is reached by air. Her coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip, 64.2, 66.2; the tooltip also carries a second point, 11.2, 39.2, far from Blackwind Landing, which is not used.
Price: Wowhead's sold-by list (as read in 2026) and the journal have 200 gold. The wiki's 160 is the same price less the Exalted discount, as Wowhead comments of 2008 explain; it was not confirmed for today's game.
The hours are the weak figure. With the dailies alone the wiki counts at least 37 days from Friendly. A 2014 comment's method:
- do the chain from Threat from Above to Terokk's Downfall and nothing else
- kill everything in Skettis, arakkoa first; the small birds give half as much and nothing past Revered
- call up a boss at every skull pile
- summon Terokk each time his own pile returns, 15 minutes after he dies; the scrolls for it come from the kills
The shadowed arakkoa are only visible under an Elixir of Shadows (wiki; six Shadow Dust buy another and 150 reputation). The two Blade's Edge dailies need the Ogri'la quests The Crystals and Our Boy Wants To Be A Skyguard Ranger first (wiki).
The wiki's faction page still speaks of Expert and Artisan riding, which predates the riding changes of patch 9.0. What is asked today was not established, nor whether the standing is shared across the Warband.
