Rare drop from Fyrakk the Blazing, the last boss of Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope, on Mythic difficulty only. A character can loot him once a week.
Chance 0.63% once a week, so about 159 tries on average — Wowhead (read 2026-10-11): 68 mounts in 10,867 recorded Mythic loots of Fyrakk; 68 / 10,867 = 0.63%. The count is per looting player, mostly from kills by raids of up to 20, and runs across two sets of loot rules (personal loot until February 2026, legacy loot since). Blizzard never published the chance: its note for patch 11.0.2 says only 'significantly reduced' from the guaranteed drop of Dragonflight; players and the best-rated Wowhead comment say about 1%

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
About 159 kills are expected at the recorded 0.63%, about 100 at the 1% players quote. Until The War Within the mount was certain, two to a kill; the wiki dates the cut to patch 11.0.2 (13 August 2024). The lockout is per character, so every character that can reach Fyrakk is one try a week.
What a single character's chance really is was not established, and commenters argue it both ways: that each looter has about 1% of their own, or that the kill as a whole rolls and the mount then goes to one of the raid, so a full raid thins it (2025 and 2026 comments; no word from Blizzard was found). Tallies from players who ran it in raids of about 20 point to a drop on roughly one kill in thirty, which is 0.15-0.2% per looter there and near the 0.19% some quote:
- 16 seen in 535 kills (2025)
- 8 in 260 (2025)
- 30 in 956 (2025)
- 45 in 1,100 (2026)
Two mounts in one kill have been seen (2025, 2026). Players report it at anything from a handful of kills to 831. Legacy loot rules have applied to the raid since about 10 February 2026 (comments), and one comment says that since then at most one mount drops per kill. A 2026 comment says patch 12.0.5 eased the fight without a note (the adds heal slowly and the Heart of Amirdrassil drains much more slowly). A 2025 comment says the mount drop-chance event of July 2025 did not apply to it.
Commenters speak of a weekly skip towards Fyrakk; a 2026 one says it still leaves five bosses and a run of about half an hour, which is where the estimate of the time on the spot comes from. How the skip is unlocked was not established.
Learning the mount on any class also gives the Feather of the Blazing Somnowl (a druid flight form) and the Cinder of Companionship (lets hunters tame Nah'qi in the Emerald Dream), both account-wide; a fault that withheld them after patch 11.1.5 was fixed on 6 May 2025 (wiki).
The mount is looted from the boss rather than put in the bags, and like other raid loot it can be passed to someone else who was at the kill for a few hours (2025 comments); that is a mention only. It is a skyriding mount and carries a passenger. The raid entrance is at 27.3, 31.0, from the game's own data (as for the Shadow Dusk Dreamsaber).
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
