How to get it

Made with Khaz Algar Engineering. The schematic is not sold and does not drop: it is one of the random recipes offered by Comprehensibly Organized Ideas, an item put together from 15 Hastily Scrawled Notes, which come from disassembling Invent prototypes. Materials: 1,000 Bountiful Bolts, 200 Assorted Whirligigs, 80 Blinker Fluid, 50 Cataclysmic Converter, 20 Pummel-Proof Plating and 1 Pummel Permit. Paxton Bombshell at Opportunity Point sells all of them except the bolts.

Guides Wowhead: Crowd Pummeler 2-30 - New Engineering Mount in The War Within (July 2024 preview) · True Endgame: Crowd Pummeler 2-30

Before you go

  • Khaz Algar Engineering on the crafting character (trainer Thermalseer Arhdas, Forgegrounds, Dornogal), with the Parts point in the Inventing specialization so that pilfering returns Bountiful Bolts · about 3 h
  • The schematic: Invent (25 Pile of Rusted Scrap, one-day cooldown) makes prototypes; once every prototype is discovered (about 350 scrap) disassembling them gives Hastily Scrawled Notes; 15 notes make one Comprehensibly Organized Ideas, which offers three random recipes to pick one from. Repeat until the mount is offered. Scour Through Scrap spends scrap for a further chance at a prototype without waiting for the cooldown · about 5 h over 3 weeks
  • 1,000 Bountiful Bolts from Pilfer Through Parts (uses up 5 engineering bolts of any expansion per cast)
  • Vendor reagents from Paxton Bombshell: 200 Assorted Whirligigs (2,500 gold each), 80 Blinker Fluid (5,000), 50 Cataclysmic Converter (12,000), 20 Pummel-Proof Plating (25,000) and 1 Pummel Permit (1,000,000)

In all: about 8 h of play, spread over 3 weeks, 3,000,000 gold, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The place given is the reagent vendor; his coordinates are a Wowhead comment's figure for the map as redrawn in patch 11.1 and sit next to the Opportunity Point flight point. The vendor reagents can also turn up from Pilfer Through Parts, the Pummel Permit extremely rarely.

Prices: Wowhead's list of what Paxton Bombshell sells (2026) has the wiki's five prices and no bolts, with the Pummel Permit shown at a stock of one. The Cataclysmic Converter is 12,000 there, though two Wowhead comments say 12,500, which would make 3,025,000 in all.

The bolts were on his list at first, at 100 gold each: Wowhead's preview (2024) and True Endgame's guide (2024) both count 3,100,000 gold for everything, and a 2024 Wowhead comment notes that he no longer sells them. Guides that still have him selling bolts (wow.gg among them) are out of date on that.

A player who recorded about 105,000 pilfered parts (2024 Wowhead comment) found Thorium Widgets the best thing to pilfer for the mount's parts and reckoned on some 50,000 of them.

Not established: the engineering skill the recipe needs, and how specializations bear on the mount being offered (Wowhead's preview says only that the three recipes offered are 'determined by your current specializations').

Guides: Wowhead has no guide of its own to this mount beyond a preview written during the beta (2024), which sets out the recipe hunt and the two ways to the materials; True Endgame's guide (2024) follows it. Both are out of date on the bolts.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
