Sold as Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee by Cendvin, the Meadery Requisitions vendor outside the Cinderbrew Meadery in the east of the Isle of Dorn, for 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen. The pollen is not a currency but an item looted from the cinderbees, honeyslimes, tempest wolves and rustcloud runts of the Cinderwold, the hills west of the meadery and the shore north of it.

Before you go
- 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen, looted from the creatures of the Cinderwold beside the meadery: Cinderbee Drones, Workers, Foragers and Knights, Amber, Persistent and Gargantuan Honeyslimes, Tempest Wolves, Cyclonecrier Alphas and Rustcloud Runts, most of them elite. The usual spots are the hills west of the meadery (around 73.2, 41.5) and the beach and cliffs to the north (around 73, 33), where the wolves and runts are. The pollen binds to the Warband, so every character's finds count · about 3 h
In all: about 3 h of play, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
The journal's and the tooltip's 'Cost: 900' is 900 Sizzling Cinderpollen (item 225557), paid to Cendvin (npc 226205, Meadery Requisitions). Wowhead's sold-by list (2026) has him alone at that price, and the wiki's pages for the mount and for him agree. No reputation, quest or renown is asked for (wiki, Wowhead's guide, the comments).
Coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip for him (74.4, 45.2); Method has 74.33, 45.30 and a 2025 comment 74.36, 45.27.
The pollen binds to the Warband and stacks to 900 (Wowhead's tooltip); it sits in the bags, not in the currency pane (Warcraft Tavern). Since patch 11.2.7 Cendvin also takes the pollen for a housing decor item (the wiki has it at 75, Wowhead at 30).
How much a kill gives is the weak point. Wowhead's list is pooled since 2024 and counts loots, not pollen. Players in 2024 wrote of one pollen for a whole pack of bees. Blizzard's hotfix of 5 December 2025 changed that (the wiki's patch notes for the item: 'The drop rate for Sizzling Cinderpollen has been significantly increased', and it drops again for those who already own the mount). Comments since:
- 2 to 5 from a pack of three bees, and up to 10 from a pack of seven wolves (2026)
- 4 to 6 from one elite (2026)
- one a creature and sometimes none (2026); the same comment says the rares of the area and the Cinderbee Buzzers gave none
Before the hotfix, pollen stopped dropping once the mount was bought, and a grey look-alike (item 226681) dropped instead. The grey one is no use to Cendvin, and a 2024 comment warns that it was being sold to players as if it were.
The bees are level 80 elites and hit hard (Method names their Scorching Sting, a damage-over-time effect). The wolves and runts on the shore scaled with a level 70 character in 2024, which is why commenters of that year farmed them on characters still levelling, and a 2026 comment suggests doing the same on characters going from 80 to 81. Whether that still holds at Midnight's level cap of 90 was not checked. The area also drops the Crackling Shards needed for Alunira and is good for skinning (comments).
Guides: Method's and Warcraft Tavern's predate the hotfix.
- Wowhead's War Within mount guide (last changed 2026) gives the mount two lines: the vendor, the price and 'west of Cinderbrew Meadery from Elite bees'
- Method's (2024) has the two waypoints and the time
- Warcraft Tavern's (undated) lists the ten creatures
The item binds when picked up; a flying mount, added in patch 11.0.2.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
