Reward of the achievement Ruffious's Bid: six world PvP achievements in Khaz Algar, all earned with War Mode on. Unbound Battle and A Champion's Tour: The War Within ask for each of the eight PvP world quests of Khaz Algar, two in each zone, once and then five times. The four Tours of Duty ask for 1,000 honor earned in each of the Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet. Progress counts for the whole account.
Guide Wowhead: Ruffious's Bid (the comments: a walkthrough of January 2025 and what changed in 2026)
Before you go
- War Mode switched on for all of it (from level 20; in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Valdrakken, Dornogal or Silvermoon City): the PvP world quests are not even shown without it, and honor earned outside it does not count · about 0.1 h
- Unbound Battle and A Champion's Tour: The War Within: each of the eight PvP world quests done five times, 40 in all (the first of each gives Unbound Battle): Elemental Excavation, Digging into Trouble, Fending off Darkness, Polarized, Along for the Ride, Foggy Faceoff, Bells of the Light and Serving the Queen. At most two of the eight are up each day, in no fixed order, and every War Mode character of the account can do the day's quests for credit. Azj-Kahet's only show once a pact has been picked there that week · about 7 h over 4 weeks
- Tour of Duty in the Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet: 1,000 honor earned in each zone in War Mode. The War Supply Crate dropped over each zone about every 20 minutes pays 150 to whoever loots it, so seven crates a zone · about 5 h
In all: about 12.1 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Dornogal 47.6 45 - Take the portal from Stormwind to Dornogal*
- Fly the rest of the way
- Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Dornogal
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The mount comes with the achievement Ruffious's Bid (achievement 40097, 25 points, account-wide, in the World category of Player vs. Player); a 2024 comment also received a title with it. The journal names only the achievement. Nothing is handed in at the place given, which is the hub this guide uses for work spread over Khaz Algar (as for the Shadow of Doubt and the Geargrinder Mk. 11).
Wowhead's tooltip for the achievement (2026) lists six criteria. Until Midnight it had a seventh, Sparking Battle (the weekly quest Sparks of War 20 times, which a 2024 comment counted as five months on one character): the wiki records its removal from the criteria in patch 12.0.1 (10 February 2026), and a 2026 Wowhead comment confirms it.
The tooltip shows the second criterion as 'A Champion's Tour: Dragon Isles' where the wiki has A Champion's Tour: The War Within (achievement 40088). The comments on Wowhead's own page all speak of the Khaz Algar quests, so the tooltip's name is taken to be an error; this was not confirmed in the game. A Champion's Tour also rewards a pet, the Purple Stagshell (wiki).
No player has to be fought, by the comments (2025, 2026): The 2025 writer could never get a crate as Horde on that realm and switched to an Alliance character. Ruffious announces a drop in the talking-head pane (2026). Whether the PvP world quests themselves pay honor towards the Tours was not established.
- the world quests can be finished on their NPCs
- honor comes from looting a War Supply Crate once it has landed and been won, though the other faction may contest it
- a 2024 comment says the chest gives credit towards the Tours to those who loot it after their faction has won it
The world quests: two in each of the four zones (2025). The two daily places can now also be taken by PvP quests of Undermine or K'aresh, which do not count (2026), and a 2026 reply saw only one of the eight up on a day. Along for the Ride and Bells of the Light come up less often than the rest (2025). Wowhead's world quest map does not always show them, so the way to know is to log in with War Mode on. A 2026 reply repeats that Azj-Kahet's stay hidden until the pact is chosen.
wow.gg's guide for the mount (2026) still lists the 20 Sparks of War as a seventh part and gives the achievements and quests under other names, so it is not linked.
The item asks for level 30 (wiki) and binds when picked up; added in patch 11.0.2.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
