How to get it

Reward of the achievement Khaz Algar Glyph Hunter: fly through all 40 Skyriding Glyphs of Khaz Algar's four zones, which completes the Glyph Hunter achievement of each: Isle of Dorn (10 glyphs), The Ringing Deeps (9), Hallowfall (10) and Azj-Kahet (11).

Nothing to unlock first: go there and it is yours.

Getting there

Thul Medran glyph, on the mountain over Dornogal (the first of 40 across four zones)
Isle of Dorn · 47.8, 26.9
/way Isle of Dorn 47.8 26.9
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 1.1 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Stormwind to Dornogal*
  2. Fly the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 1.1 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Dornogal
  2. Fly the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The 40 glyphs are the criteria of the four zone achievements in Wowhead's tooltips (10, 9, 10 and 11); Wowhead's guide and Warcraft Tavern count 40 as well. A web search turned up 41 for Icy Veins and 38 for the wiki's glyph page; neither page was read. Progress is account-wide (tooltip), so glyphs picked up by different characters add up.

The glyphs give no flying benefit in Khaz Algar; the mount is their only reward. K'aresh has eight more glyphs with an achievement of their own that is not part of this one.

The time on the spot is the middle of Wowhead's guide's figure for the whole round, 30 minutes to an hour with the locations at hand.

The glyphs, with the guide's coordinates on each zone's map. Warcraft Tavern's figures differ from these by less than a point. A 2025 comment warns that some coordinates in an older comment's table are well off, so the guide's are the ones given.

Azj-Kahet:

  • Arathi's End 63.4, 13.9 (the web nests there dismount)
  • Siegehold 46.6, 21.2
  • Trickling Abyss 70.5, 25.0
  • Ruptured Lake 25.1, 40.8
  • Untamed Valley 65.4, 51.7
  • Eye of Ansurek 42.9, 57.1
  • Silken Ward 57.5, 57.3
  • The Maddening Deep 66.3, 84.8
  • Rak-Ush 73.0, 84.7
  • Deepwalker Pass 58.5, 89.7
  • Old Sacrificial Pit 13.2, 34.0, which is on the City of Threads map (map 2213), not the zone's, where the world boss Orta appears

The Ruptured Lake glyph is tucked in among roots near the cavern's ceiling (2024 Wowhead comment: stand at 25.2, 40.7, face south-east and rise straight up); flying to the very top there throws the character back down.

Wowhead's guide was last updated in 2025.

Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
