How to get it

A rare find in the Lamplighter Supply Satchel, the pay of the side quests of the Spreading the Light event around Light's Blooming in the north-east of Hallowfall. Feed a Lesser Keyflame 3 Radiant Remnants and do the quest of the Arathi who then appear (eight Lesser Keyflames, a satchel each), or feed one of the large Keyflames 20 and finish its bonus objective (eight of them, a satchel each). The weekly quest Defender of the Flame pays one more.

Chance 0.61% once a week, so about 164 tries on average — Wowhead's contained-in list for the mount (page read 2026-10-10): 2,158 mounts in 351,683 Lamplighter Supply Satchels opened, 0.61% a satchel. Guides round it to about 1% (Warcraft Tavern; a Wowhead comment of August 2024) or give 0.6% (wow.gg)

Notes and sources

The mount comes from the Lamplighter Supply Satchel (item 228741) by Wowhead's loot data, its comments and every guide read. The wiki's page for the mount names the Radiant Cache of the weekly quest Spreading the Light instead, but the wiki's own page for the cache does not list the mount. The journal files it as a vendor mount, which it is not.

At 0.61% a satchel the expected number is about 164 satchels; players in Wowhead's comments report anything from the first satchel to 170, 327, 399, 418 and over 1,000.

How many satchels a character can earn is the weak point: Blizzard Watch and wow.gg all the same call the Lesser Keyflame quests daily.

The eight Lesser Keyflames of that comment: 63.6, 33.6; 64.4, 31.0; 64.6, 30.6; 63.3, 29.4; 65.4, 28.1; 65.8, 24.5; 64.4, 18.8; 61.5, 17.5.

The weekly lockout is taken here: 17 satchels a week is about a 10% chance per character per week (1 - 0.9939^17), and every character of level 70 or more can do the round (2024 Wowhead comments: the mount dropped at level 70 and at 78, and for characters after the first nothing has to be unlocked). The time on the spot is an estimate for one round of all sixteen quests.

A lit large Keyflame burns 20 minutes and its bonus objective is open to everyone nearby (Warcraft Tavern, Blizzard Watch). A 2024 comment advises leaving out the northernmost bonus objective, whose bar filled very slowly. The satchel also holds Resonance Crystals and Hallowfall Arathi reputation.

The place given is the large Keyflame at Light's Blooming as wow.gg places it (64.26, 30.18); the wiki puts Light's Blooming at 63, 28. Wowhead has no guide of its own for the event (its item page links only the general War Within mount guide). Icy Veins' guide (2025) is thin and is not linked.
