Notes and sources
About 156 kills are expected at Wowhead's 0.64%. Players there report the mount at 7, 32, 53, 88, 124, 183 and 275 kills, and two had none after 440 and 549. Every player on the kill has a chance of their own, so several can drop at once (comments report two and three in one raid), and it can drop again for someone who already knows it. It is looted from her corpse.
One chance per character each week on each difficulty: a 2025 commenter counts tries over Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic, and many farm Raid Finder on a dozen characters.
Whether the chance has changed is unsettled: comments of 2025 (patch 11.2) and 2026 (patch 12.0) say drops became much rarer, replies and later comments report drops after both, the newest in 2026, and Blizzard has said nothing. The pooled count mixes all of it; it also holds ten more loots, without a mount, under a sixth mode it does not name.
Queen Ansurek is the last boss: the raid is linear through Rasha'nan, then Broodtwister Ovi'nax and Nexus-Princess Ky'veza in either order, The Silken Court and her (wiki). The 60 minutes for a visit is an estimate for all eight bosses.
In Raid Finder she is in the third wing, A Queen's Fall, with The Silken Court; how that wing is queued for in Midnight was not established (the wiki still gives only the item level of 567 asked in 2024). Story Mode, entered through Kriz the "Loyal" by the entrance, gives no loot (wiki). On Mythic she also drops the Ascendant Skyrazor, a separate mount.
The reins bind when picked up (tooltip) but, like other raid loot, can be handed within two hours to someone who was on the same kill (2025 Wowhead comment).
The entrance is from the game's own table (Azj-Kahet 43.5, 90.4); the wiki puts the instance line at 45.1, 90.7 on the Azj-Kahet map, which is 35.3, 72.0 in the City of Threads.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
