Reward of Consolation Flies, the last of six quests given by Shalba, the alchemy trainer in the north of the City of Threads. The chain starts from a Vial of Tka'ktath's Blood, dropped by the rare elite Tka'ktath on a platform over Azj-Kahet, and then asks for 1,500 Nerubian Chitin, 1,000 Nerubian Venom and 500 Nerubian Blood, one after the other, from nerubians anywhere in Khaz Algar.

Before you go
- Renown 4 with The Severed Threads: Shalba does not speak to the character before it. The Azj-Kahet story brings it · about 3 h
- A Vial of Tka'ktath's Blood from Tka'ktath, a rare elite that flies down to a large platform south-east of the Weaver's Lair in Azj-Kahet (62.8, 66.4). He comes every few hours, announced by a zone-wide line about the shadow of a hungering beast over the city, and takes a few minutes to land. The vial is not certain, and a character can loot him once a day. It starts The Beginning of Something Beautiful: bring the vial to Shalba · about 1 h over 2 days
- Those Are Chitin Words: 1,500 Nerubian Chitin, from most nerubians. By the comments the area before the first boss of Ara-Kara, City of Echoes as a follower dungeon gives 70-85 a run of 6 to 8 minutes · about 2.5 h
- Venom? More Like Get 'Em: 1,000 Nerubian Venom, from fewer kinds of nerubian. By the comments the City of Threads follower dungeon up to its first boss, or the rare pair Khak'ik and Rhak'ik in Azj-Kahet (44.0, 30.4; 10-12 a kill, back after 2 minutes) · about 2.5 h
- A Small Ocean's Worth of Blood: 500 Nerubian Blood, only from ascended (two-legged) nerubians and skyrazors. By the comments a full clear of Ara-Kara, City of Echoes as a follower dungeon gives 90-100, and the elites in the far north of Azj-Kahet (about 65, 10 to 65, 13) drop it steadily · about 2.5 h
- Witnessing Brilliance and Consolation Flies: watch Siesbarg ascend behind Shalba's building, then take the mount from Shalba · about 0.25 h
In all: about 11.8 h of play, spread over 2 days, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
Consolation Flies is an ordinary quest (83722, level 80), the last of a chain of six, not a world quest as the journal has it (Wowhead, the wiki); nothing about it comes and goes. The chain in the wiki's names:
- The Beginning of Something Beautiful
- Those Are Chitin Words (83719)
- Venom? More Like Get 'Em (83720)
- A Small Ocean's Worth of Blood (83721)
- Witnessing Brilliance
- Consolation Flies
wow.gg (2026) lists the same six under other names for the first and the last two (The Start of Something Beautiful, A Magnificent Spectacle, A Comforting Flight), which look like translations; the wiki's are used here.
The chain is per character, not for the account (2025 comment); a character that drops the quests after handing in the vial can take them up again from Shalba without another vial (2025 comment). Siesbarg himself is the alchemy supplies vendor in Scents & Oils until the chain turns him into a skyrazor (wiki).
The only luck is the vial: Wowhead's tooltip gives it 59.18% from Tka'ktath (counts not read), wow.gg about 73%, and the best-rated comment (2024) calls the chance high. Everyone on the kill can loot a vial of their own (2024 comments).
Time: wow.gg says 6 to 8 hours of farming apart from the wait for Tka'ktath; a 2025 comment did it in about seven hours over two days, and a 2024 comment counts a little under 60 short dungeon runs for all three quests. wow.gg speaks of a limit of 10 follower dungeon entries a day, which those back-to-back runs do not bear out; it was not checked. A 2026 comment warns that the three amounts do not come from ordinary play over an expansion; they have to be farmed.
Other spots from the comments: Old nerubian places such as Azjol-Nerub give nothing (2024).
- the Siegehold north of the Weaver's Lair, for chitin and venom
- nerubian invasions in Hallowfall, for chitin (2025, 2026)
- Arathi's End, for blood in a group (2024)
Coordinates: Shalba (npc 218171) 45.4, 13.4 on the City of Threads map by Wowhead's tooltip; Tka'ktath (npc 216046, 'Queen's Sweetie', level 80 rare elite) 62.8, 66.4 on the Azj-Kahet map by wow.gg, while Wowhead's tooltip has only his flight path on the City of Threads map.
The mount flies; the item asks for level 30 by the wiki and binds when picked up. Whether the three materials can be traded was not looked up.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
