Notes and sources
The journal's cost of 5,000 is Timewarped Badges: Wowhead's sold-by list (2026) has Bobadormu at 5,000 of currency 1166, once as the NPC in Orgrimmar and Stormwind (234555) and once as the one in Tanaris (223884), and the wiki's page for him lists the reins at the same price. He also sells the Sandy Shalewing for the same price.
Since patch 11.0.7 Bobadormu and Grannadormu are in Orgrimmar and Stormwind during Classic Timewalking (wiki). The journal and the tooltip also name Grannadormu, and both give Tanaris as the zone: that is where the two stood during the 20th anniversary event of late 2024, outside the Caverns of Time, when the mount was added (patch 11.0.5). Wowhead lists only Bobadormu as the seller; the wiki has Grannadormu as the one who takes the weekly quest and opens the Blackrock Depths raid, with nothing for sale. Whether the pair come back to Tanaris with each year's anniversary event was not established.
That Bobadormu is only out during the Classic week rests on the wiki's wording for Grannadormu ('during the Classic Timewalking event') and on Method's statement, quoted for the Sandy Shalewing, that every Timewalking vendor appears only in its own event's week; how often the Classic week comes round was not read. Badges earned in other Timewalking weeks count, and they can be moved between characters of the Warband (wiki).
Coordinates: Orgrimmar from Wowhead's tooltip (52.8, 82.4-83.8) and the wiki (52.8, 83.0); Stormwind from the wiki (56.0, 19.0), which Wowhead's tooltip does not show. No guide is linked: a vendor and one currency.
