Notes and sources
Sold by Smaks Topskimmer (npc 231409) for 8,125 Resonance Crystals at Renown 15 with the Cartels of Undermine. The journal's 'Cost: 8,125' is Resonance Crystals: Wowhead's sold-by list (2026) shows him alone, at 8,125 of currency 2815, and the item reads 'Requires Renown Rank 15 with the Cartels of Undermine'; the wiki's pages for the mount, the vendor and the faction's renown table all say Renown 15.
Coordinates are the wiki's for Smaks (43.6, 50.8), the same as The Topskimmer Special has from Wowhead; Wowhead's guide pins the hotel at 43.2, 50.3.
The safe buyer is the character that earned the renown: two comments on Wowhead's guide (2025) report that an alt could not buy renown-locked goods from Smaks although the account stood at Renown 19 or 20, the vendor asking the alt itself to 'reach renown 15'. Whether that still holds was not established. The mount is account-wide once learned.
The renown is shared by the Warband and the weekly quests pay it once a week for the Warband (as for The Topskimmer Special), so alts do not shorten it. The five weeks are the weak figure, hence medium confidence: they are worked out from the amounts, and how many story chapters pay the 2,500 was not counted (sources disagree on what the chapters pay; see The Topskimmer Special). The doubling of patch 11.1.5 was for the four individual cartels only, not for this renown, and the Winds of Mysterious Fortune bonus does not touch Undermine reputations (Blizzard Watch, 2025).
The same model in other colours (2025 Wowhead comment):
- Crimson Armored Growler from the Bilgewater Cartel
- Blackwater Bonecrusher from the Blackwater Trove
- Darkfuse Chompactor from the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club
Added in patch 11.1.0; the item binds when picked up.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
