How to get it

Sold by Skedgit Cinderbangs at Entrepreneur Inc. in the Heaps, in the south of Undermine, for 25 Miscellaneous Mechanica. The Mechanica is a rare find in Undermine: one or two in most of the troves a cartel hands out each time its reputation bar fills again past Exalted, a small chance from every Undermine rare, and a very small one from Overflowing Dumpsters.

Notes and sources

The journal shows the cost only as a number; it is 25 Miscellaneous Mechanica, an item that binds to the Warband, so every character's finds add up (wiki, Wowhead tooltip). Wowhead's sold-by list has Skedgit Cinderbangs at that price and nothing else asked; she also sells the Asset Advocator and the Innovation Investigator for 25 each.

Coordinates: the wiki's quest pages put her at 43.2, 82.8 and a Wowhead comment at 43.25, 82.84; Wowhead's tooltip has 43.0, 82.2-82.6.

The mount item binds when used, so it can be sold on; this guide is about earning it.

How long the Mechanica takes is the weak figure, and players disagree widely. Wowhead's recorded loot (2026):

Bilgewater Troves: in 936 of 1,267 opened (74%)
Blackwater: 735 of 1,038 (71%)
Steamwheedle: 725 of 1,024 (71%)
Venture Co.: 691 of 981 (70%)
Darkfuse: 350 of 462 (76%)
Overflowing Dumpsters: 695 of 76,820 (0.9%)
rares: from 1.26% (Gallagio Garbage, 936 in 74,480) to 4.94% (M.A.G.N.O., 284 in 5,753), with Darkfuse Precipitant at 5.5% (74 in 1,345)

Those counts include the first weeks of patch 11.1, and a 2026 comment says the rate was lowered twice soon after release. The Mechanica comes only from the troves of the single cartels, not from the Cartels of Undermine renown cache (2026 comments).

Comments put the cartel reputation a week at 2,000 or 1,000 from each of the three weekly quests (the wiki says 1,000), and 300 a world quest, about eleven a week.

What several characters can do: a 2025 comment reports 25 Mechanica in one week from rares with 28 characters parked in Undermine; another (2025) about one drop in ten weekly-rare kills over 297 kills; others report none in weeks. Comments of 2026 say the rares became slower to kill with the Midnight pre-patch and that drops seemed to stop for a time, with later 2026 replies reporting drops again from troves and rares.

wow.gg (updated 2026) says 1-3 a week on one character and 3 to 6 weeks for the mount, which do not agree with each other; the figures here follow the counted report. Wowhead's Undermine zone guide (2025) does not mention the Mechanica, so it is not linked as a guide.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
