Sold by Reno Jackson (Delve Treasures) at the Delver's Headquarters in Dornogal for 10,000 Resonance Crystals. Until patch 12.0.1 it was the reward of the quest I Want My Hat Back, which is what the journal still names.

Notes and sources
The journal and Wowhead's tooltip still say 'World Quest: I Want My Hat Back' in the Isle of Dorn and Dornogal. The wiki's patch notes for the mount and for the quest say that since patch 12.0.1 (10 February 2026) the mount is bought from the vendor and the quest (85243, from Brann Bronzebeard in the Delver's Headquarters) no longer rewards it.
Wowhead's item page lists Reno Jackson at 10,000 Resonance Crystals and still lists the quest as a source; a 2026 comment there confirms that since the release of Midnight it can be bought from him. Before that there was a gap: 2025 comments report that the quest stopped showing when The War Within's second season ended and that the mount could not be had at all during the third.
Whether Reno asks for anything besides the crystals (a level, delve progress) was not established. He sells the three delve mounts of The War Within at the same price (this one, the Delver's Dirigible and the Delver's Mana-Skimmer), so all three are 30,000 crystals.
The Gob-Trotter's five schematics (Balloon, Flamethrower, Green, Harpoon, Pipes; 1,300 to 3,250 crystals each) only change its looks, and its gold version is a chance drop from The Underpin (wiki). The Undercoin and Restored Coffer Keys of The War Within's last season were turned into Resonance Crystals when Midnight launched (wiki).
The coordinates are Wowhead's for Reno Jackson (NPC 226250), as for the Delver's Dirigible and the Delver's Mana-Skimmer; the wiki puts the Delver's Headquarters at 48, 44. A plain vendor, so no guide is linked.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
